Think creating the outer hull of a digital twin city is difficult? It’s not! 🏙️ With today's tech, it's almost automatic. Satellite images, 4K+ drones, LIDAR2Mesh, and 360° data make it a breeze. These models come to life in game engines like Unity and Unreal. Leading companies like Cesium ION, Blackshark.ai, or MAXAR are at the forefront. European programs Copernicus, DestinE, and GTIF also provide very valuable data on this. Did you know? All this tech allows quick, photorealistic city models, offering insights for urban planning and environmental monitoring (ESG). Thinking on a citywide smart scale is exactly what we need! #DigitalTwins #SmartCities #GIS --------- Follow Me for Insights #VR #XR Links in My Profile Florian Huemer
Is it really a Twin if it can't overlay live data, allow dynamic updates of the base 3D models from LiDAR scans and drone photogrammetry, and have baked in (dynamically updated) metadata about the 3D assets? It always strikes me that the bulk of the "digital twin" software industry is really doing batch (often algorithmically generated) 3D modelling and visualisation.
Wunderbar, aber ist dies auch aus Sichtweise "Strasenebene" so "einfach" möglich um eine Stadt "durchwandern" zu können?! www.virtumill.com
Fascinating insights, Florian! The convergence of satellite imagery, LIDAR, and game engines like Unity and Unreal is truly transforming urban planning. How do you see this tech influencing the creative industries, especially in terms of integrating AI and digital twins for immersive experiences?
Leider geil! ⭐️
