As Halloween approaches, it’s important to be mindful of how you navigate the fun while keeping things spook-tacularly compliant. Here’s how to make sure your Halloween is both festive and HOA-friendly: Decorations: Go all out with your decorations but remember to keep them within the HOA guidelines. Avoid over-the-top displays that might be too frightening or intrusive for your neighbors. Safety: Keep walkways clear of decorations and obstacles to prevent any trips or falls. Make sure your spooky lighting is safe and doesn’t cause a glare or distraction for drivers. Costumes: While it’s tempting to dress up as the scariest creature you can imagine, ensure that costumes remain respectful of community standards and don’t infringe on any HOA rules about noise or disturbance. Trick-or-Treating: Be mindful of the designated trick-or-treat hours. Place your treats where they’re easily accessible and follow any HOA guidelines regarding door-to-door activities. Pumpkin Protocol: If you're carving pumpkins, please remember to clean up any mess and avoid leaving pumpkins out too long to prevent pests and unpleasant smells. If you have any questions or need help with the specifics of your community’s rules, reach out to your HOA.
