Mind's annual ‘Attitudes to Mental Illness’ research shows that while the social stigma around conditions like schizophrenia and depression is getting better, people in England are less likely to think that recovery from a mental health problem is possible than they did in 2019. We’re backing calls from across the Mind federation, asking the government to address the growing mental health crisis and put people with lived experience at the centre of any discussions around plans to tackle stigma and create meaningful change. #NoMindLeftBehind #TimeToChange #MentalHealthAwareness

Despite America’s strong diversity, representation often falls short in some of the areas that matter most. The mental health care field is a prime example. This BIPOC Mental Health Awareness Month, consider these stats on the vast disparities that exist between people of color and the amount of providers who look like them. Among these, 5.86% faced severe mental illness. The statistics reveal a stark reality: adult mental illness prevalence ranges from 19.38% in New Jersey to 29.19% in Utah. These numbers remind us that mental health is a national issue that requires our attention and action. As a team of mental health providers, we are deeply passionate about the well-being of our clients and the broader community. In our work, we witness firsthand the impact of untreated mental health conditions: the pain of depression, the suffocation of anxiety, the devastation of trauma. We also witness the transformative power of mental healthcare: the healing that comes from therapy, the hope that arises from support groups, the resilience that emerges from compassionate care. #mentalhealthawarenessmonth #mentalhealth
