It’s incredible how taboo cannabis still is. It’s nearly 2025 and I couldn’t get anyone to talk to me about it in public in Maryland. This is not a free country. People are scared.
OMG I'd love someone on the street to ask me those questions.
We'd love to see you in Chicago! :)
Insightful—a lot of the older generation and/or less knowledgeable people still feel the social stigma of cannabis, they don't want to be judged (negatively), or in some nightmare scenario, have this affect their livelihood and/or personal lives. The industry has certainly made big strides in the past decade but it is still critical to continue to educate and control our own narratives. It takes time to turn a large ship, as they say, but it will be time well spent!
👀👀👀 This video is wild lol
Come to Berkeley and America's oldest dispensary CBCB, lots of cannabis culture.
That is fuckin wild
Go to Hampden neighborhood in Baltimore, you’ll find some people who will talk about weed!
This is all over the country.

3wI’m really not surprised by this. MD is very close to D.C. and many in the “DMV” area work for the government or close to it. There’s too much risk to talk about it on camera whether consuming or not. Being from this area, people who are consuming are not talking about it openly— even with some of their friends due to possible consequences with their jobs and social circles. & for those not working for the government, they’ve been conditioned to be scared to talk about their use because there is a huge sterotype around the consumer that consumes cannabis. It may be legal but the stigma is engrained in the culture. I could go down a rabbit hole on how the opioid crisis in that area did a number on the community & how cannabis is viewed as well. Pretty wild, but not surprising.
