Bring your tribe together to create a shared experience. You don’t need to be a hopeless romantic to love traditions. I was never into Halloween, but since moving to Sleepy Hollow, I have become a lover of the holiday. Once a year, the entire town becomes the regional Halloween epicenter, with a month-long celebration featuring ghost stories, haunted houses, and graveyard tours. People from around the country (yes, really) descend on the town to celebrate. The celebration culminates with this parade. I love how this tradition brings people together, and I think about how to use it for inspiration in business. Most organizations have traditions, and it’s powerful to bring people together to celebrate a shared experience. From Thanksgiving dinners and holiday parties to annual picnics and days of service, traditions have the power to remind people what’s special about the tribe they have chosen to join. As you look toward the year ahead, be sure to allocate resources to celebrating together as a team. If you don’t have a tradition, make one up. HW Halloween Lunch 🎃👻🦇 This week’s lunch club brought the team together for a spooky-themed meal, a fun and light-hearted way to celebrate Halloween while strengthening our team spirit. I truly believe these team lunches are more than just a break from work; they're a great way to boost morale, and help strengthen the bonds we share. We are all so busy most of the time, its nice to take a moment out of the daily grind to enjoy one another's company. When we come together over food, we step out of our roles, getting to know each other on a more personal level. That time together builds trust and makes us all feel more connected—which really does show in our teamwork at the office. Sharing a meal creates a comfortable space where everyone can speak freely, not just about work but about their personal lives. As it was Halloween this week we shared stories of our encounters with the paranormal., which was really interesting! For new team members, these lunches give a glimpse into our team spirit and culture, helping them feel at home faster. For our long-term teammates, it’s a reminder of the values we share and what makes our team unique. Investing in these small moments really does benefit the entire team, building a positive and friendly environment where everyone can thrive.

Next week is Halloween! In our house that means MEGA EXCITEMENT!  There's fake spider webs all over our front porch, candy to buy (yikes gotta remember that), costumes to finish sewing, pumpkins to arrange... My body doesn't love the sugar of this holiday anymore, so I tend to focus on other treats of the season. But I also know that it's a busy time so I try to do a couple things to really take care of myself. I want to offer next week's Introducing Your Imposter Monster: Reframing Imposter Syndrome workshop as a way for y'all to take care of yourselves. The workshop is for anyone who has ever felt: 😶🌫️ Shame when they weren’t perfect 😶🌫️ Shame when they can’t be everything to everyone all the time 😶🌫️ Like they are going to be “found out” as not being all that talented 😶🌫️ Like they are not good enough to receive the accolades they are given 😶🌫️ Hyper aware of the ways in which their community might judge them for their successes and/or failures 😶🌫️ Like there was a voice inside their head telling them they aren’t strong/smart/talented enough to try something new …but wants to keep making an impact on the world anyway. Statistically speaking, that's 80% of people at some point in their life!  That means if you are seeing this post, that's probably you. What better way to take care of yourself than tackling an issue that is proven to decrease confidence, productivity, and satisfaction? And do it in a way that is fun, educational, and perfect for the spooky season? I hope to see some of y'all next week!
