I get asked often if the #drone industry is over saturated. The answer is no. The only over saturation is the thought that a pilot certificate and a drone amounts to a successful business. The industry is a pie, the drone is a tool, you need to learn how to bake the pie and then you will see that the industry actually has more work available than can currently be handled. Hint: the data is where it's at.

It is great to hear that the Oxford English dictionary have included ‘Dronefaking’ into the Q3 2024 edition. ‘Dronefaking’ refers to the online social media exaggeration about the capability and the volume of testing that has been undertaken on a product by a drone manufacturer, or the number of partners and reputable organisations that are currently using and endorsing their product. Perpetrators, referred to as ‘dronefakers’, generally misrepresent the capability of their drone for financial profit, or to enable the funding of their own insufficient flight testing. Dronefaking is draining a huge amount of resources from this fledgling industry and generating reputatonal risk. Operator awareness surrounding dronefaking is increasing as they realise that the drone and AAM industry cannot build a reputation on what it is going to do.’ #dronefaking

Cheeky early morning drone flight to capture build progress as a way of updating clients on progress of their reserved plots. Drone flights not only capture build progress but allow for site audits. Highlighting how you as a developer present your sites before during and after the building progress ensures credibility. If you have a site scheme or development you want documented drop me a line. #drone #marketing #progress

Last week we have done some cold calling to talk to drone pilots about our harness. One of the things we've learned is that many field staff are working in pain - either because the of the tablet carry solution or Drone Controller Carry Solution. With drone pilots this pain is often the result of holding the controller at waist level which means they have to bend their neck to see the display on the controller. One of the benefits of our harness is that the controller can be positioned so that the user need not bend their neck to see the controller (as shown in this photo). Also interested in an ergonomic way of carrying your drone controller or Tablet? Take a look at our website or send us a message.

We could have never thought of a helicopter in our hands in the 1960's... Though now it is possibly used in photography, surveillance and even food deliveries...it still blows our minds when we see new usages and advancements in such a versatile invention. 𝐀 𝐬𝐲𝐧𝐜 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 - 𝐎𝐦𝐧𝐢-𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 - 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥-𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐞! A Vision to Reality: - The modern quadcopter drone is a staple in various industries like photography and logistics. - Its origin roots back to a patent registered in 1962 by an engineer “Edward G. Vanderlip”. - While he worked for “Piasecki Aircraft Corporation”, he envisioned an “omnidirectional, vertical-lift, helicopter drone” that could revolutionize the design and functionality. - Vanderlift’s goal was to ensure an instrument that is operated during power failures, which led to the creation of a compact, remote-controlled helicopter equipped with four rotors in opposing pairs. - This made the drone navigate and move in any direction while remaining stable during its flight. - This set the stage for future advancement in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
