Just met a young CEO from a mobility start-up at the airport and we had a great conversation about strategy and process optimization. I was inspired by how she does not own a car and instead moves around Barcelona using public transport and a bike. Today, I decided to take a small step towards sustainability by taking public transport to the airport. It may not always be perfect, but it worked for me today. Before the Easter holidays, members of the #GreenStar club met for the first time this year. Participants presented measures that companies are taking to reduce their environmental impact and the challenges they face. Simply reporting on sustainability in a way that appears "nice" is no longer enough today; it is necessary to implement sustainable commitments. Only when companies adopt them and commit to concrete goals do things start moving in the right direction. In this regard, the most important support and awareness come from the company's leadership about the importance of sustainable business. #HabjanTransport presented the challenges we face in the transportation industry, especially the uncertainty regarding the development of sustainable freight vehicles. Currently, no option for more sustainable forms of road transport is sufficiently effective.
