When I first started working with Dan (Danny) Fellars at InAir, I had a feeling they were going to be a great long term partner with Airtable for a few reasons: 1. Dan and his team were always open to feedback - Whenever we would run co-selling motions together, we would give each other feedback after the customer meetings on Slack immediately. This was really helpful as it drove... 2. A growth mindset. -In the early stages, we weren't 100% sure which services packages would sell the most effectively, so we quickly ideated and tested to ensure we would find "services market fit" immediately. -We'd do customer calls together and afterward I would share feedback and his team would adjust. By the time we were onto the next calls, there were noticeable improvements. -We'd collaborate on customer presentation decks and he'd improve each iteration based on ongoing feedback. By V3, we had a massively improved deck from a personalization, content and design perspective. 3. Being really transparent about what's working and what isn't - so that we can double down on the areas of success and work to get back on track on the areas of improvement. Dan has built an incredible Airtable Services business from the ground up. He now has a team of 22 to drive the business forward. He has 63 five star reviews from his customers. And today, I'm excited to announce that InAir is a Gold Airtable Services Partner. Excited for our next stage of growth together!

Why Don’t We Trust Ourselves as Much as We Trust a Pilot? Over the weekend, my mom shared a thought-provoking video that got me reflecting deeply. When we board a flight, we know the airline, our seat preference, and whether or not we’ll eat during the flight. We trust that our luggage will arrive, and we settle in with or without a neck pillow, ready for the journey—even with occasional turbulence. But here’s the thing—we don’t know the pilot personally. We don’t know their experience, and we never even see them. Yet, when we hear the familiar, “Hello, this is your captain speaking,” we believe without hesitation that we will safely reach our destination. We relax and enjoy the journey. No questions. No doubts. Just trust. Isn’t it ironic, then, that in our own lives, we rarely offer ourselves the same level of trust? We are the pilots of our lives, yet we second-guess our own journey. Why don’t we trust that we’ll reach our destinations with the same faith we have in an unseen pilot flying us through the clouds? Happy New Year! Happy 2024! Doesn't it feel as if we wished each other for New Year just yesterday? And, at the blink of an eye, 4 months of 2024 have zipped by!! This reminded me of the quote - "The bad news is time flies. The good news is you're the pilot." - Michael Altshuler Yes, it is time to ask ourselves which stage are we at today, 6th of May : - Are we the pilot flying our flights per our own directions at the desired speed, ready to reach the intended destination at the intended time? - Are we the pilot flying our flights per our own directions at the less than desired speed, but on course to reach the intended destination albeit slower than planned? - Are we the pilot flying our flights only per instructions of others, with no control on the destination or the time? - Have we given up the Pilot seat of our own flight, and moved over as the co-pilot not out of choice but of compulsion? - Have we given up and moved into into the passenger seat handing over the flight to someone else who is flying per their own directions, even though you know its not where you want to go.
