Spirit Airlines on the brink of a bankruptcy filing? The airline's real financial crisis. And what does this mean for other airlines, like Southwest, Frontier and JetBlue? At the same time, legacy carriers are ramping up international routes. What does this mean for airfares, flight frequencies and quality of service? Not to mention hotel rates. I have the latest. And updates on the potentially devastating Hurricane Milton. And I’ll answer your travel questions LIVE this Thursday, October 10th at 12 pm ET from New York. I wish we didn't live in such a capitalistic society most times. I wish that airlines could facilitate evacuations.... for example: if you're under an evac order, your flight out of the area is a nominal fee, and your return flight, to the same airport, is $100 (or less?) within, say, a 21 day window. I hear and see so many people say that they can't evacuate because they have no where to go, or that family is too far. imagine the literal life saving measure this could be. Work on it, airlines. As Hurricane Kirk approaches, European aviation faces a rare challenge. Expected to weaken into a post-tropical storm, Kirk could still disrupt travel across France, the UK, and beyond. While North American airlines are well-versed in rerouting and offering flexible rebooking during hurricanes, most European carriers are less prepared for these events and with technical debt. Airlines must act quickly to adjust flight paths, issue proactive selfservice options, and—most critically—improve flexible travel waivers in advance. This helps passengers easily rebook flights without hassle, minimizing disruption. In a week, we’ll know more: I regularly struggle with the rebooking bots of the Lufthansa Group and IAG, whereas with United or Delta, it’s usually smooth and very flexible in-app. #aviation #hurricaneKirk #travel

Before I Reiterate On The Screenshot Below As VSP -- Y'All Know The Acronym Meaning Coz A VSP Doesn't Physically Fly An Aircraft (Though I Scoped Some Airline Advertised For A VSP Role This Month Coz It's A Unique Skill -- AnyWay Won't Mention). That's The Reason As To Why I Was Sensitizing To You Guys Since Last Week -- We Know What's Happening With This Ongoing Hurricane Hamilton Situation In Stato (Stato Is An Acronym +254 Meaning For The States) -- In Regards To How Flights Maybe Getting Delayed Coz This Hurricane, Inclusive Of The Previous Hurricane Helene That's Sporadically Spreading Across Some Continents. Pilots, Let Not These Things Distract You. Yesterday, Coz It's Now Past Midnight Kenyan (+254) Time -- All Flights Into JKIA Landed SAFE WITH NO FLIGHT DELAYS FROM THEIR RESPECTIVE DEPARTURE AIRPORT TERMINALS, From Various Destinations. It's Extremely Amazing Coz Both Are Boeing 787-800's & They Land At The Same Exact Time From OR Tambo Into JKIA. It's An Analysis I Discovered Way Months Back -- Off Which I'm Certain Some People Are UnAware Of -- Though You Pilots Comprehend/Understand These Things/Scenarios. I Myself Didn't Enroll Myself In Aviation School To Study Aeronautical Aviation -- I Taught All These Skills Myself Via Online Classes, Reason Being, I've Been Involved In Close To 2 Airline Crash Incidences Way Back In The Past & I Survived. Thereafter, Is When I Commenced Studying Aviation. It's The Almighty God Who Gave Me The Power To Study Aviation Coz I Hate Seeing Airline Crash Incidences Happen. #Turmoil #Turbulence Few days earlier a #turbulence was reported in air which also claimed injuries and even life. Turbulence is having negativity and positivity too in its entirety. It relates to creating disturbance in life. A place of transportation (airport, Railway Station, Bus Stand) also signifies one form of turbulence in life. Positive or negative turbulence depends of type of journey one performs from place of transportation.

While a little summer rain can be refreshing, at Ljubljana Airport we are extremely cautious when there is a storm on the horizon. ☔⌚⚡️ Sever weather conditions, that are becoming more frequent each summer ☀️, pose a potential safety risk to aircraft operations on the runway, as well as to airplanes, passenger and employees on the airport apron. ⛈️ At Fraport Slovenija, we are following the highest safety standards with protocols in place for when the storm is 5 kilometers away from the airport and moving our way. ⚠️ Among other these protocols include: ➡️ Temporary termination of aircraft handling operations. ➡️ Ensuring all outdoor personnel immediately seek shelter from potential lightning strikes. ➡️ Aircraft stays on ground until it is safe to resume operations. For passengers this may result in delays or even cancellation of flights. ⏰⛔ If this is your case, make sure to remember, these measures are in place to ensure everybody’s safety. Whether you’re inside the aircraft or within the terminal, you’re protected from the storm. ✈️🏢 How commonly do thunderstorms occur at our airport? 🤔 From January to July this year we suspended operations on the airport apron 30 times due to nearby storms, most of them during the summer. Storm lightning shots are luckily rare, however, we recorded two strikes at the airport in the last five years. 🌩️ At Fraport Slovenija the safety of the people at the airport is our first priority. 👐 That’s why we invest significant effort into implementing safety procedures that minimize the risks associated with storms and other weather-related phenomena. 💪 #FraportSlovenija #LjubljanaAirport #thunderstorm #weather #delays #safety #aviation

Here's an indoor air quality assessment for Nav Canada's Nanaimo Flight Services Building. For inexplicable reasons, the airport had a Beechcraft 1900 parked in such a way as the exhaust is pointed directly at the building. During warmup, occupants reported extended periods of exhaust odours. We measured IAQ parameters (Temp, %RH, CO, CO2), NO2, SO2, PM2.5, PM10, VOCs, and total aldehydes.
