The conversion of heat to electricity is obsolete, wastes enormous primary energy, and raises the world temperature. It is more than a century old, and an update is needed. 1. Stopping the steam spins directly turbines. 2. The steam transmits its pressure/flow to a liquid (water, oil...), then this liquid turns a hydraulic turbine. Therefore, we multiply the produced electricity by more than three (can exide six); the need for wood, coal, fuel oil, gas, etc. are divided by more than three, the same for added carbon, CO2, smoke, and heat added to nature. And we are opening a great highway to free primary energy powered by free surface water heat of oceans, seas, lakes, rivers..., or ambient air in non-frozen areas/seasons.
