🍃 On Monday, 29 April 2024, the OLGA project organised a Workshop on Green Innovations Certification at Airports held in Paris. This workshop was organised in the framework of Work Package 8 - Exploitation and Technology Transfer and was hosted by ENGIE Lab Crigen, with the support of COMOTI - Romanian Research&Development Institute for Gas Turbines and Bureau Veritas Group.   🛫 The purpose of the workshop was to clarify the steps needed to be undertaken by airports, as part of the green certification journey, on topics ranging from waste to biofuels, hydrogen and sustainable aviation fuel. The event built upon existing knowledge and consolidated the information on the certification process itself while identifying gaps and addressing barriers in the process of Green Innovations Certification at Airports. Therefore, the participation of the OLGA airports - Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (Groupe ADP), Milan Malpensa Airport (SEA Milan Airports), International Zagreb Airport Jsc. and Cluj Avram Iancu International Airport - together with other partners from Air France, Air Liquide, Infraplan Consulting LLC and Snam S.p.A. 🌱 The future largest French power plant soon to be operational. #GreenHydrogen #RenewableEnergy #Sustainability #EnergyTransition #France. 💡 With an investment of €60 million, largely funded by the Occitania region and the Agency for Energy Transition, the Hyd'occ project in Port-la-Nouvelle, in the Aude region, is preparing to produce green hydrogen, becoming the largest factory of its kind in France. 🏭 Construction of France's largest green hydrogen production plant is already underway in Port-la-Nouvelle. By 2025, this facility is expected to produce 30,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per year. 🚛 Pierre-Brice Valerio, Qair's director of hydrogen engineering, says: ‘If we reinject these 30,000 tonnes into heavy mobility vehicles, it will be 30,000 tonnes of CO2 that will not be in the atmosphere.
