Here, I am trying to integrate the shortest path component into the generative urbanism framework, on which I've been recently working. From an enhancement point of view, this new approach can promise not only an increase in routing efficiency but also to significantly improve mobility and connectivity. The result? Minimized travel times and reduced environmental impact. #UrbanDesign #UrbanPlanning #AlgorithmicDesign #ParametricDesign #Sustainability #Architecture

The concept of green building has roots dating back to ancient times, where civilizations employed natural materials and design techniques to create sustainable structures. The contemporary green building movement arose out of the need and desire for more energy efficient and environmentally friendly building practices. The oil price increases of the 1970s spurred significant research and activity to improve energy efficiency and find renewable energy sources. This, combined with the environmental movement of the 1960s and 1970s, led to the earliest experiments with contemporary green building. The green building initiative can be traced back to the 1960s when American architect Paul Soleri proposed the concept of ecological architecture. Not long after, another American architect, Ian McHarg, published a book in 1969 called "Design Integrates Nature". Several experts loosely agree that this book paved the way for the official birth of green environmental architecture. The term "Green Building" was popularized in the 1970s and has since evolved into a broader approach emphasizing energy efficiency, resource conservation, indoor environmental quality, and sustainable design principles. #BuildGreen #Sustainablearchitecture #EnvironmentalService #RACUSJ #Rotaract #Rotaract3220 #ICAC #icdvp #interact #InteractDistrict3220 #CreateHopeintheWorld #YouthForAll

Traditional architectural techniques for energy conservation in Canadian buildings offer valuable insights for modern sustainable practices. Incorporating environmental considerations and reducing carbon emissions in insulation materials are crucial steps toward eco-friendly construction. Notably, snow and ice—natural insulators readily available in many regions of Canada—can be effective in reducing energy loss during colder months. By leveraging these natural resources and combining them with sustainable materials for roof and wall insulation, we can minimize reliance on high-carbon-footprint modern materials. This approach not only preserves the environment but also highlights the value of traditional wisdom in creating energy-efficient and sustainable architecture. #sustainable architecture #sustainable materials #Architecture #Save energy
