Congrats to Aaron DeBevoise and the Spotter team! This is a really significant step in creator economy evolution, and one that shows the evolution of “sport”. Sports are evolving to address the needs of gen Z. We’ve seen a wave of esports over the last 5 years, now we’re seeing a return to live events but in sporting and competitive way. Traditional sports are aging out their audience and are struggling to capture the new global younger generation. This is a great proof point that creators and influencers are the next sport hosts and competitors. Watch this space as there’s a lot of momentum behind creative new sports mashups with other markets that haven’t been announced yet. I’m bullish on this next wave of competitions.
