Young women in the UK report feeling lonelier than the general population and more unsatisfied with their lives than men, a poll of more than 10,000 Brits has revealed. To ensure this and future generations of young women feel that they truly belong and can flourish, there are specific measures we can put in place to help them feel like they belong. International Women's Day | March 8th ✨ On this significant day, we respond to the call from UN Women to address how we #InvestInWomen to ensure their access to education. Menstrual poverty stands out as a significant challenge, acting as a barrier for women and girls in attending schools and workplaces. Investing in women involves eliminating these obstacles, paving the way for a world free from bias. This mission is championed by Lasallian Women of Hope, which initially began as a grassroots empowerment project for women. Empowering women is crucial for a better world, and it’s a responsibility we must all bear. While being a woman is a privilege, it also comes with its own set of challenges. As a community, it's our responsibility to change the narrative and create opportunities for #inclusion. We need to educate one another on how to navigate life and support growth in one another. Creating change isn't limited to the third sector and organisations like SheBeasts C.I.C every business and individual can make a difference. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to create change in both my roles as a trusted advisor, female coach, and business leader. Access the survey here: https://lnkd.in/eK_Ky5-E    Each year, they’ve investigated an important issue facing young women in Scotland as part of their ongoing research project, the Status of Young Women in Scotland (SYWS). The results directly inform The Young Women’s Movement’s work, by generating intersectional evidence that influences change and platforms the voices of young women and people from other marginalised genders. This year, to celebrate their centenary birthday, the Status of Young Women in Scotland (SYWS) 2024-25 report will explore how young women 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝, 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 and 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞 for their human rights in Scotland, uncovering what barriers they might face when attempting to realise their rights in everyday life. They chose this topic as young women involved in their movement have told them that they want a better understanding of their own human rights, and how they might access high-quality, evidence-based information when they feel their rights may have been breached, violated, or ignored. They would appreciate if you would be able to share the survey with any young women that you work with as they are keen to have respondents from all areas of Scotland.
