Throw back to when I participated as a panelist during the Nigeria Energy Dialogue organized by GE Vernova in March. I discussed the topic "Securing Nigeria's Energy Future: Challenges and Opportunities," along with other notable speakers like Dr. Salihu Jamari, Olurotimi Famoroti, Kolapo Joseph, Michael Konadu, and Wale Adeleye. The questions addressed were around the biggest challenges facing the Nigerian electricity sector, and steps that can be taken by key stakeholders to make progress. We also looked at ways to reduce losses on our grid and improve reliable power supply. While the power sector's challenges are complex, they are not insurmountable. With the right strategies, investments, and collaborations, we can unlock its potential, sustain economic growth, and improve the quality of life for all Nigerians. Thank you GE Vernova for providing the platform for us to discuss and advance our country's power sector.
The residents of Gbagada Road, Gbagada Phase 2, Lagos, are pleading for urgent intervention regarding the lack of power supply for over eight months. This prolonged outage has caused immense discomfort, with severe heat making it difficult to sleep and a surge in mosquito infestations affecting public health. While neighboring streets enjoy regular electricity, the residents of Gbagada Road remain in darkness, primarily due to unresolved issues surrounding their transformer. We are hopeful that Folake Soetan and the Ikeja Electricity management will address this matter promptly. The community, which includes families and businesses, is suffering greatly, and restoring power will provide much-needed relief. We remain hopeful that this pressing issue will be prioritized and resolved without further delay.
I have a very vital information to share with you that can contribute immensely to your organization and to boost your leadership quality. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thank you, Madam Folake Soetan! The residents of Gbagada Road called, and you answered. We are thrilled to share that the long-awaited transformer was finally returned on Friday evening, installed on Saturday, and today, we are enjoying steady electricity once again. Your swift intervention has brought light and relief back into our lives. The heat and mosquito troubles are behind us, and we couldn't be more grateful. Madam, you are truly exceptional. Mama, you too much! Thank you for prioritizing our community and showing what true leadership looks like.

I am the program lead for the Society of Petroleum Engineers, University of Ibadan Chapter (SPE UI), and we are currently planning our annual industry week. Part of the industry week includes Energy day, a day dedicated towards energy advancement in the country. I really see all you do here and I really want to hear from you and I am sure it is the same with the members of my chapter. I couldn't reach out to you before now, as I am not on LinkedIn premium.
