🚫 Exposing Caleb Hammer's Exploitative Tactics: Using Fans for Profit While Pretending to Care About Their Financial Well-being 💔💰 It's time to address the uncomfortable truth about Caleb Hammer's disingenuous behavior. While he claims to advocate for financial literacy and support his followers' financial well-being, his actions tell a different story. Behind the facade of care and concern lies a pattern of exploitation, as he shamelessly uses his fans as a means to line his own pockets. It's essential to call out this manipulation and demand accountability in the influencer community. Let's prioritize genuine care and support for our audience, rather than using them as mere sources of profit. #InfluencerEthics #FinancialLiteracy #AuthenticityMatters #PrioritizePeopleNotProfit

Prime lamb prices really are incredible. Early May has seen prices beyond the wildest fantasies of most sheep farmers. So is this a spike/peak or a new normal? After further cuts in the national flock of 5%, significant losses to the weather, plus a big schmallenberg outbreak in Southern UK, I can’t see how finished lamb volumes can do anything but remain very tight over the next 6 months. The only reason for prices not to be maintained would be price resistance at a retail level or a jump in imports from the Southern Hemisphere.

"Moves into" Lebanon for what, a picnic? One state gets sanctioned, the other gets arms and support. Jeez, the media is hopeless! 🤦🏻♂️ And it goes on and on... The Washington Post is shameless.

A woman came to the market and asked a corn seller, "How much do you sell your corn for?" The corn seller replied, "One dollar each." The lady said, "I'll take six ears of corn for five dollars or I'll walk away." The seller responded, "Ma'am, I'll give it to you at the price you ask because I haven't sold anything today, and this is a good start for me. I need this to survive." The woman, feeling victorious, bought the corn at her price and left. She got into her expensive car with her friend and went to a high-end restaurant. They ordered everything they wanted. Despite eating only a little, they left a lot of what they bought. Their bill came to eighty dollars. They paid a hundred dollars for the bill and told the restaurant owner to keep the change as a tip. This behavior might seem common to the restaurant owner, but it was unfair to the corn seller. This raises a critical question: Why do we always assert our power when buying from the poor? But why are we generous to those who never need our generosity? Even if we don't need it, we should buy things from the poor at a fair price. Paying a little extra can be a gift wrapped in decency. Think about it 🤗🤗

Thought for the day: Simple example of price gouging by the grocery stores: Green figs are my favorite fruits and are seasonal. Here in Arizona if you buy 7 little green figs at AJs it will cost you $7.95, across the street at Safeway is $4.95. In LA I could get 20 big ones at the same price at local Persian store in Westwood. Growing up I remember it was not based on the number of figs and the price was based on per Pounds or Kilos and it was an abundance of green figs available. For small amount of money we could buy tons of delicious Green Figs, White Nectarines, Persian Persimmons etc etc etc at nominal prices. Today these fruits are luxury and they sell them like a pieces of Gold like $1 for each little green figs. This is what is needed to be controlled. The price gouging and highway robbery. Trickle down economy has created many thieves since Ronald Reagan chose not to regulate businesses and trusted them to the point that top1% own half of our money and rest of us are swimming on the other half of the swimming pool. I do support hard work and making a profit but things have to get regulated so we do not have wall street thieves robbing us right and left. My social security goes up every year by 2-3% while most everything else around by 3000% . That is totally unacceptable and something has to give pretty quickly. Those corrupt WDC politicians need to stop just supporting the super rich and the corporations. Today in US we have more people under the poverty level than any other time in our history. We need to rebuild our Middle-Class the backbone to our democracy or we will soon become another dictatorship third world country. My two cents. 👺👺👺

As of the end of June, ISTC has wrapped up our involvement in the Illinois Farm to Food Bank Program. What started as a survey and focus groups with farmers has turned into a statewide program that has recovered millions of pounds of fresh food that would have otherwise gone uneaten. Traveling around the state visiting farms and learning about food waste from a new perspective was eye-opening and also REALLY fun! Never did I think I’d have the opportunity to address food waste and also travel to every tip of the state, meet some of the most generous people (farmers!), and try some of the most delicious foods. But seriously, if you haven’t tried a southern Illinois peach, you are missing out - might I suggest Rendleman and Flamm Orchards. We often think of Illinois as corn & soy (there’s definitely a lot of that), but there are also thousands of specialty crop farmers, and they need our support. Buy local, buy direct from farmers and support your local farmers market, and we all need to quit being so dang picky about choosing the “prettiest” apple at the grocery store. The more we can support and invest in local foods, the more we can reduce waste and reduce emissions from our food system. And for those that are able, please support your local food pantry, food bank, or other charitable feeding organizations with your dollars or your time. Access to healthy foods is something everyone deserves. Thank you so much Stephen Ericson and Feeding Illinois for the opportunity to be involved in this program. Thank you to Raghela Scavuzzo, Jane Maxwell, MS, RDN, and SO MANY others for your leadership, support, and knowledge!
