This Wednesday, we hosted a unique Farmer-to-Farmer Market, centered around fresh produce, learning, and collaboration. Farmers brought their crops and livestock to share, but the true highlight was the learning session, where they discovered how to make natural fertilizers and pesticides—essential skills for sustainable, regenerative farming practices. 🌾 Every item at the market was regenerative, grown by farmers who have embraced more sustainable practices. The results speak for themselves: Charles Nzalu, 64, shared how he earned KES 145 per kilo of beans in his latest harvest—his first time achieving such success, thanks to regenerative farming. 👏 We also tested and validated some key assumptions, but the big takeaway was clear: farmers want to be active consumers in the regenerative movement. By working with them, we’re not only strengthening livelihoods, but also taking an approach where improved diets start on the farm and are enjoyed by the very people who grow them.
