This is a clear example of why it's important to have in-process quality checks in place, but not only that it is vital to have strong leadership willing to pushback when and where necessary.

I'm always on the lookout for innovative leadership strategies. Today, I want to share a powerful lesson from Joey Wat, CEO of Yum! Brands China, that resonates deeply with my own experience. Wat's approach to understanding her customers is both simple and profound: she spends hours observing patrons in KFC restaurants. This hands-on method has led to game-changing insights, such as the creation of a boneless "mash potato burger" inspired by how kids eat their meals. But it doesn't stop there. This ground-level observation also resulted in the wildly successful durian pizza at Pizza Hut China, now accounting for one in every four pizzas sold. Here's why I believe this approach is crucial for leaders: 1. Unfiltered insights: Direct observation cuts through the noise of reports and surveys. 2. Customer-centric innovation: It leads to products that truly resonate with consumers. 3. Agile decision-making: Quick implementation of ideas without bureaucratic hurdles. As leaders, we must remember that our most valuable insights often come from being present where our business happens. It's not just about data; it's about understanding the human element of our operations. What are your thoughts on this approach? How do you stay connected to your customers' experiences? #LeadershipInsights #CustomerExperience #InnovationStrategy

Bozana Byers, SHRM-SCP, CDP - 12 White Castle® Original Sliders (no cheese) - 3 stalks of celery, diced - 1 ¼ teaspoon ground thyme - 1 ½ teaspoon ground sage - ¾ teaspoon black pepper, coarsely ground - 1 cup chicken broth 1. Cook White Castle® Original Sliders in your microwave two at a time according to package instructions. Set them aside on paper towels or a sheet tray to cool. 2. Once sliders cool, cut into bite-sized pieces and add into a large mixing bowl. 3. Add celery, ground thyme, sage and black pepper into the bowl. 4. Pour chicken broth into bowl and mix well to combine. 5. Transfer stuffing mix to a casserole dish and spread into an even layer. Bake at 350°F for 35 minutes. 6. Remove from oven and let cool, about 5 minutes. Serve warm. ENJOY!!! NOTE: This recipe makes about 9 cups of stuffing, ideal for a 10-12 lb. turkey. You can scale up this recipe by cooking one slider for each pound of turkey.
