‘Direct response’ nonprofits aren't just struggling due to financial constraints; they're also grappling with organizational health issues that hinder their ability to thrive. They require support to maintain their purpose, amplify their impact, and overcome barriers, constraints, and distractions. Gratia Foundation (a division of Blue Hope Performance Lab, a 501(c)(3)) pulls alongside those organizations to provide that support so they can concentrate on their mission and excel in their endeavors. As an organization, we want to engage in things that transform the world around us. So, with an emphasis on expanding the human potential, we set out to make the world a better place through more effective organizational leadership and individual growth experiences that would ignite transformational and sustainable change for the individuals and organizations changing our communities for the better. Help us on our mission to support these critical organizations-

𝟑 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐍𝐨𝐧𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐭 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰 As a nonprofit founder, it's easy to believe that grants are the solution to all your funding problems. But are they really? In this podcast episode, the host highlights three common misconceptions that many founders have about grants and grant writing. The first misconception is that grants will fund your organization. While it's true that grants can provide a significant amount of funding, they are not a magic solution. Founders who chase after grants they won't qualify for end up wasting valuable time and resources. Instead, focus on building a strong infrastructure that will attract donors and make your organization grant-ready. The second misconception is that grants are a one-and-done fundraising activity. Unfortunately, writing a grant proposal is just the tip of the iceberg. Once you receive a grant award, you'll have to keep track of expenses, receipts, and meet the expectations of the foundation or government agency. It's a process that requires planning and attention to detail. The third misconception is that grants are free money. While this may seem obvious, many founders forget that grants come with added costs. There may be requirements for specific equipment or computer systems, and you'll need human resources to run programs. Don't ignore the costs associated with grants at the expense of your organization. In conclusion, grants can provide much-needed funding for your nonprofit, but it's important to understand the realities of grant writing and the misconceptions that can hold you back. Use these tips to build a strong infrastructure, plan for the grant process, and understand the costs associated with grants.

Family businesses have long been the cornerstone of economies worldwide, blending tradition with entrepreneurial spirit. However, as the baton passes from one generation to the next, the dynamics within the family can become complex, especially when it comes to managing the delicate balance between empowerment and entitlement. The future success of a family business often hinges on this critical distinction in the attitudes and behaviours of next-generation leaders. Family businesses have the unique ability to pass not just wealth but wisdom from one generation to the next. Whether a business thrives or falters often depends on whether the next generation embraces an empowered mindset or succumbs to entitlement. Empowerment leads to stewardship, growth, and sustainability, while entitlement risks stagnation, conflict, and decline. https://lnkd.in/eJqkEypP

From growing up with learning disabilities, barely passing high school, living on the streets, and surviving multiple suicide attempts, I once thought I was destined for failure. For years, I was told that my disabilities would hold me back from ever amounting to anything. I carried the weight of those labels until one pivotal moment: someone believed in me. That simple act gave me the strength to believe in myself and completely transform my life. Today, I’ve trained over one million people across 50 countries and worked with 157 Fortune 500 companies. As the first Independent Board Director of eXp World Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: EXPI), I’ve had the privilege of ringing the Nasdaq closing bell three times and the opening bell at the CBOE Exchange in Chicago. I also serve on other prestigious Boards of Directors and, with my life partner, co-lead our family foundation, LYNK, with a mission to expand global philanthropy. I am actively engaged in raising $100 million for Global Philanthropy Projects through LYNK Foundation and our Elevate 2 Educate (E2E) initiatives. My contributions to global philanthropy and entrepreneurship were formally recognized in 2022 when I was knighted by His Royal Highness of The Royal Order of Cappadocia from Spain, a prestigious honor acknowledging the impact of our work to make a tangible difference worldwide. My journey has taken me from the depths of despair to becoming a successful corporate trainer, speaker, and investor. In my memoir Until I Become, I share my story of resilience and persistence, hoping to inspire others to find their purpose and push beyond their limits. Until I Become is a testament to overcoming adversity and achieving the unimaginable. Order your copies on Amazon.com today.
