🔚 After almost 8 months, a complex and challenging project has come to an end, with very satisfying results. We analyzed nearly every aspect of public and private transport, considering 20 different scenarios to evaluate the impact of each change. 🚴♂️ One particularly interesting finding was related to the introduction of the Biciplan in the city. The data suggests that a 7% modal shift from private transport to bicycles is expected. 🌍 We also studied the environmental impact of the "Zona 30," a current topic of great interest and discussion. 💻 Thanks to advanced tools like PTV Visum, we were able to understand the effects of various modifications and provide clear data to help decision makers make informed choices to improve urban mobility. #PTV_VISUM

Urban innovation pilots present an opportunity to use an iterative approach to problem-solving the challenges of tech and city-building. But first, the public needs to get comfortable with letting public servants take risks and make mistakes.

Why do we always share urban planning and development projects in a way that even locals struggle to visualize? Have you ever looked at a glossy architectural rendering and not recognized your city or any of the people in it? Ever been handed a 30 page jargon-filled booklet at a public hearing and had your eyes glaze over? There's got to be a better way to share spatial proposals with stakeholders and the public so we can spend less time misunderstanding and more time having substantial conversations. AR can be a powerful tool to unlock those conversations faster and bring more people to the table.
