On the 30th, I had the chance to attend a super insightful event on accessibility in digital products led by Flavio Correia. It was an amazing experience that really drove home the importance of building products that are inclusive for everyone. One of the biggest takeaways was the importance of thinking about accessibility right from the beginning of the design process. Getting it right early not only ensures a more inclusive final product but also saves time and money down the line. Creating an organizational culture that values and prioritizes accessibility is key. It’s not just about meeting legal requirements; it’s about committing to inclusion and equal opportunities for all users. #accessibility #dev #frontend #inclusive #digital

🌍✨ Presenting Wandersync: Your Ultimate Travel Companion! ✨🌍 After an incredible semester-long journey in CS2340, I’m excited to share Wandersync, a travel organization app that my team and I developed as part of our class project. 🚀 About Wandersync: Wandersync is designed to simplify travel planning by centralizing all your trip details—destinations, accommodations, dining plans, and personal notes—into one convenient and intuitive app. Whether you're an adventurer or a meticulous planner, Wandersync helps you stay organized and build plans with others while focusing on the joys of travel! 🔗 Check out Wandersync here: https://lnkd.in/g7U76hCx What I Learned: This project taught me invaluable lessons in collaborative problem-solving, backend integration, and perhaps most importantly scalable code design and architecture patterns. Early on in the project, our team learned the importance of ensuring that the app could handle both current functionality and potential future extensions that would arise in the next sprint. By adopting a modular design, we kept the codebase organized and maintainable, making it easier to debug and iterate upon. Leveraging Firebase for backend integration also reinforced the importance of real-time data synchronization and scalable cloud infrastructure, which are critical for apps with dynamic content and user-generated inputs. Furthermore, working with the Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) architectural pattern emphasized the importance of separating concerns between UI and business logic. This approach not only made the app more reliable but also positioned it for smoother scalability in the long run. Through these experiences, I realized how app development isn’t just about solving today’s problems—it’s about anticipating tomorrow’s challenges and ensuring the app can grow with users' needs. A huge shoutout to my amazing teammates Amishi Mittal, Aesha Shah, Christina Wu, Jaisen Soundar, Kylene Wright—your creativity, hard work, and collaboration made this journey both inspiring and enjoyable. 💡

Day 16 of 21-Day UI Challenge: Redesigning the home page African Missions Global Website Happy New Week! 🎉 The Incubator Hub tasked us with redesigning the home page of Africa Missions Global website, focusing on creating a visually compelling and functional site. This project challenged me to balance aesthetics with usability, ensuring the foundation’s mission is communicated effectively to a global audience. This redesign prioritizes: • Clean Navigation: Easy access to key information about their projects and goals. • Compelling Visuals: Highlighting the heart of the foundation’s mission through engaging imagery. • Seamless User Flow: Encouraging visitors to explore, donate, and support with minimal effort. Taking on this challenge was both exciting and rewarding as it allowed me to design a platform that resonates with the foundation’s impactful work. What do you think of this redesign?
