Today, Mytra officially launches out of stealth with our series B announcement! 🎉 Mytra’s mission is to supercharge industrial productivity by automating the most common industrial task: moving and storing material.
I met Chris Walti about a year and a half ago while working at another AI robotics startup. Mytra was about 3 months old at the time and I remember seeing the modest, wooden 2D matrix behind him on the floor and conveying, “let’s stay in touch as you continue to build.” In the next ~6 months the wooden matrix quickly turned into a full scale 3D steel structure running a prototype robot in all directions (XYZ) and SW progress to match - building a working prototype alone can take years. After seeing the speed of progress and meeting more of the team, I knew I wanted to be a part of it so I took steps to join shortly after.
I continue to be impressed with the speed of progress and iteration by this growing team. In the last two years, Mytra has continued to shorten the feedback loop for in-house iteration and deployed our system to Albertsons.
The need for what we are doing continues to grow with reshoring of operations to the US, significant shortfalls in US manufacturing jobs, and a change in consumer shopping preferences where getting your item within 24 hours is expected. If this work resonates with you, we are hiring 🤖 Learn more about our mission, team, and open roles at mytra.ai
