And we found what we were looking for - a few promising drivers. 🚀👀 The best part? Going full throttle together as a team and still competing against each other - the perfect mix of fun and competition! 🏁🙌 We enjoyed the evening to the full. ### The 2024 Finn European Championship: High Stakes as Fleet Split Looms As the 2024 Finn European Championship heads into its fifth and sixth races, the competition is heating up with the crucial fleet split on the horizon. After six races, the fleet will divide into **Gold** and **Silver** fleets, with the top sailors in the Gold Fleet battling for the title. With the discard rule allowing each sailor to drop their worst result after Race 5, these next two races are pivotal for the overall standings. Italy’s **Alessandro Marega** leads the fleet with just 7 points after four races, having showcased remarkable consistency. His strategy will focus on staying steady, securing top-5 finishes to ensure he remains at the top. However, France’s **Laurent Haÿ** (9 points) and **Valérian Lebrun** (11 points) are in hot pursuit. The French duo must push hard in the next two races to close the gap and pressure Marega, knowing that after Race 5, they can discard any poor results. In fourth place with 15 points, **Nick Craig** from Great Britain will rely on his tactical experience. With the discard rule in mind, Craig will likely aim for safe finishes in Race 5 before taking more risks in Race 6 to climb up the leaderboard. The mid-fleet battle is intense, with **Filipe Silva** (18 points), **Christoph Burger** (21 points), and **Kristóf Kaiser** (21 points) fighting for spots in the top five. All sailors are balancing the need for consistent results with the pressure of qualifying for the Gold Fleet. As the fleet split approaches, every decision counts. The next two races will determine who stays in the hunt for the title and who gets left behind in the Silver Fleet. --- **Source: High-Performance Regatta Analyser GPT** Well done Christoph Burger!

🔴🔴 Historic Race Ban for Kevin Magnussen Following Monza Incident 🔴🔴 Today marks a pivotal moment in F1 as Kevin Magnussen becomes the first driver to receive an automatic race ban under the current penalty point system, introduced in 2014. After a challenging race at Monza, Magnussen accumulated a total of 12 penalty points over the last 12 months, leading to his suspension for the upcoming Azerbaijan Grand Prix. This decision underscores the importance of adhering to F1's stringent safety and conduct standards. Even as Magnussen and Pierre Gasly engaged in a tight, wheel-to-wheel battle at Monza, resulting in a controversial 10-second penalty for Magnussen, the ruling highlights the FIA's commitment to consistent regulation enforcement — no matter how tough the competition gets. Magnussen's response to the ban reflects a mixture of frustration and confusion, particularly given the non-destructive outcome of the incident with Gasly. This situation sparks a broader discussion on the balance between aggressive racing and safety, urging a revisit of the consistency of race stewardship. As we look forward to the races ahead, this development serves as a crucial reminder of the significant impact that strategic decisions and rule adherence have on the sport. Let's discuss how this could influence team strategies and driver approaches in future races. 🔗 Stay updated and join the conversation as we follow how this unfolds in the F1 world. #KevinMagnussen #F1Ban #MonzaGP #Formula1 #RaceControversy #SafetyFirst #FIA

Will Mark Cavendish overtake Eddy Merckx for most TdF wins? We all knew it's going to happen, but now it's official - Mark Cavendish has been confirmed that he's on Astana's roster for Tour de France. It will be his final Tour de France. And by final, I mean final final final. Yes, last year was supposed to be final, but he was supposed to not crash out. So get over it. So far Cav has amassed 34 wins, so as many as Eddy Merckx. One more seals the deal. For that purpose, Astana has build a complete lead-out train with Michael Morkov as its key figure. The big question is, can Mark Cavendish – who's 39 at the moment – win on any of the 7 or 8 stages that are perfect for sprinters. He won't be doing it in a vacuum – he'll have Jasper Philipsen, Arnaud de Lie, Dylan Groenewegen, Mads Pedersen and a bunch of others to compete with. All things considered, it's going to be super hard, especially with Jasper Philipsen being the top-dog in the pack. But I think he can do it. And if he could do it twice, just to be sure, that would be perfect. I think the biggest challenge will be avoiding the crashes, especially in the early stages. If he can do that and overcome the mountains, he's got a good chance. Tour de France starts on June 29, this Sunday, with a hilly route that has 3600 metres of elevation. The first stage that the sprinters can show their teeth is Stage 3. I will have my fingers crossed that he manages to snatch one more win and avoids any crashes. ❓❓What do you think? Can he win?❓❓ 🚴Meet me and Endurance Translations at Eurobike July 3–5 this year. DM me for details.🚴 #cycling #goat #tourdefrance #records

🏁 F1 Sim Racing World Championship resume in Stockholm! 🏁 Last week marked the long-awaited resumption of F1 Sim Racing in Stockholm, Sweden. After a break since November 2023, the championship resumed with remarkable intensity. The pace was fast: two qualifying rounds in the early afternoon, followed by the two races at the end of the day, over three days. Despite our best efforts, the team didn't manage to score any points until the last race, classifying us in 9th place in the championship for the time being. But nothing's decided yet. With five races left in May, the team has the opportunity to move up the standings. The team has identified where to improve and the last race showed that the team is able with both cars to score points in the top 10. Sometimes it is not about how you start but rather how you finish. This week has been rich in lessons. We had the opportunity to meet and exchange with other teams and drivers, creating a vibrant and enriching atmosphere during the championship. 🤝🏎️ We are determined to progress and improve before our next participation in a few weeks' time. As shared by F1 coach, Gregory "we are not quiters", and we are looking towards our progression and the final event of the championship! We can't wait to get back on the track and keep pushing our limits. 💪🏁 #esports #championship #simracing #teams
