“Treasurers, guardians of cash, architects of financial stability” - I really like this very short video of the DACT - Dutch Association of Corporate Treasurers, outlining in a simple yet effective way the role of the treasurer. Well done!
What are the two versions of the investor presentation deck?
Cerius Executives recently met with Managing Director Robert Manasier and he gave some excellent advice on how to not lose your investors.

As a 3x founder and product executive, I’ve seen firsthand how crucial it is for entrepreneurs to think strategically from the outset. One of the best pieces of advice I can share comes from Charlie Munger’s inversion technique — a mental model I’ve relied on throughout my career. Inversion is about identifying how a venture could fail and actively working to prevent those pitfalls.
This ties closely to Codie’s principle of “Begin with the end in mind.”
As founders, consider:
- Selecting a co-founder you can trust for the long term — someone you’ve known for at least seven years. Sociologist Gerald Mollenhorst research shows we lose half of our close network every seven years, so if someone’s been by your side for that long, they’re more likely to be there for the next stretch.
- Making sure everything is clearly documented, including an operating agreement — a step too many entrepreneurs skip.
- Crafting an exit strategy early on, whether you’re aiming for IPO, acquisition, or an IP-only sale. Preparation for all eventualities is essential.
These are foundational for navigating uncertainty, minimizing risk, and building ventures that succeed.

At Niche Mates we're still figuring this out as we go, but these rules will surely make it on the Deal Checklist.

Roth is Never Behind. There's a common misconception that converting an IRA to a Roth IRA requires time to break even due to taxes. This thinking is mathematically incorrect, especially with large balances in your 401(k). The truth is, the Roth IRA is never behind. At worst, it's break-even. Watch my colleague, Dani Francini, CFP® in this video to find out why.
