Novel detection system enhances SCS’s thermal mapping system! The newly developed detection system promises a reduction in delivery times, simultaneously minimising measurement uncertainties. A great step forward in delivering detailed temperature maps across gas turbine components. SCS are delighted to announce that yet another development project, co-funded by Innovate UK has been successfully completed. “INtegrated optical ThErmal Phosphorescence System – INTEPS” project ran for 6 months under the Analysis for Innovators (A4I) Innovate UK programme. SCS again successfully collaborated with the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) to enhance the measurement system. This project has been yet another excellent collaboration project between SCS and NPL’s Phosphor Thermometry group. The newly developed system is expected to have an immediate impact on SCS’s thermal mapping data quality once it is fully integrated into the industrial delivery process. #thermalmapping #gasturbines #collaborations #NPL #InnovateUK #asmeturboexpo25 #turboexpo25 #asme #SCS

🚀💡 Discover the Radio-Isotope Thermoelectric Generator (RTG)! RTGs are the ideal solution for supplying electricity to areas not covered by the electricity grid, requiring a constant supply over very long periods. A concrete example? The Centre Industriel de Stockage Géologique (Cigéo) for high-level, long-lived radioactive waste. Why is this important? Cigéo's observation and monitoring system requires power to be supplied to sensors installed at a depth of 500 meters for at least 100 years. The RTGs, developed by Orano under the aegis of ANDRA, use americium 241 sources to provide this essential energy. 🌌 RTGs and RHUs based on americium 241 are also being developed for space missions. Thanks to a programme funded by the European Space Agency, these technologies will make it possible to launch and operate missions to the deepest recesses of our solar system, where solar power is no longer sufficient. 🔋🌍 Sustainable and reliable energy for tomorrow's challenges, whether underground or in space! #Technology #Innovation #Energy #RTG #Americium241

Completion of replacement MSENSE DGA3 at Gulf JP NS. 💡Early fault indication by monitoring trend of gases could be minimizing risk. The early fault indication and trend analysis of a few key gases like hydrogen and carbon monoxide are sufficient for powerful and cost-effcient monitoring. The results can then be contextualized by considering additional operating parameters and environmental conditions to get a better picture of the situation. DGA online measurement for trending should be robust and easy to handle. Gas sensors with long lifetimes and low sensitivity towards ambient infuences should be used. It is very convenient for the user. #MR #Reinhausenthailand #Premiumserviceprovider #MSENSE #MSENSEDGA3 #Thepowerbehindpower
