A Different Kind of Thankful Thanksgiving is here, and most of us are thinking about what we’re grateful for—family, friends, health, good food. Those are the easy ones, right? But lately, I’ve been reflecting on the not-so-obvious things we might not immediately feel thankful for. You know, the hard stuff: stressful workdays, tough conversations, or plans that didn’t go the way we wanted. Here’s the thing: those moments shape us just as much (if not more) than the easy ones. They refine us, challenge us, and—if we let them—grow us into stronger, wiser, and more compassionate people. In 1 Thessalonians 5:18, we’re encouraged to “Give thanks in all circumstances.” Not just when life feels great, but in all of it. It’s a reminder that even the messy, uncomfortable parts of life can have a purpose. Gratitude doesn’t mean ignoring the hard stuff; it’s about trusting that there’s growth, wisdom, or blessing hidden somewhere in it. And when you shift your perspective, it’s amazing how challenges become opportunities and setbacks feel less overwhelming. So this Thanksgiving, I’m reminding myself to give thanks for all of it—the joys, the struggles, and even the things I don’t fully understand yet. What’s something unexpected that you’re thankful for this year? Wishing you a season filled with gratitude, growth, and maybe a new way of seeing your blessings. #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #Perspective #ThankfulInAllThings

Thanksgiving is a time for gratitude — but have you ever paused to think about what’s not worth keeping in your life? Like many of you, I’ve been reflecting on what I’m thankful for this Thanksgiving: family, friends, health, and the experiences that have shaped my life. But as I gave thanks, I found myself wondering — what am I not thankful for? What mindsets, habits, or regrets are holding me back from living fully and leaving the legacy I want? For me, it’s overthinking, self-doubt, and lingering regret. Letting go of these weights isn’t easy, but it’s necessary. When we release what doesn’t serve us, we make space for clarity, gratitude, and purpose — qualities that define the legacies we leave behind. This Thanksgiving, take time to reflect not just on what you’re grateful for, but on what you can let go of. What will you shed to make room for the story you want to preserve and pass down? Start shaping your legacy today.

𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞, but the reality is that while it's a period of celebration for some, it can absolutely be a period of sadness for others. I've experienced both joy and sadness across the years over different holidays, and I just wanted to put this out as a bit of a gentle statement to my network. -- If you've lost a family member or close friend and this is your first Thanksgiving and Christmas without them, I am thinking of you today. -- If you've suffered a major setback in the last year job-wise or otherwise, and find yourself in this season of the year reflecting on that in ways that are painful for you, I'm thinking of you today. -- If you're in spot where little joy is visible today, my hope is that you are able to find joy in the cracks and spaces where joy exists and that you are able to extrapolate that feeling into other areas of your world. In short, if you're in my network, I wanted to extend a Happy Thanksgiving from my family to you and yours today. As we near the end of 2024, I wish you fulfilment, contentment, and peace in the days ahead. May we balance the wheel between celebration of our accomplishments, fellowship with our loved ones, and (where necessary) learning our lessons along the road from here to 2025.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Thanksgiving brings a special energy—gratitude fills the air, reminding us of the warmth, connection, and appreciation we often overlook. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to carry that feeling with us all year? The truth is, we can! Gratitude doesn’t need to be limited to a single season; it’s a practice we can nurture daily. I recently came across an article on 10 ways to be a more thankful person. I loved how it framed gratitude as something we can cultivate, much like a healthy habit. Just as we care for our bodies with good nutrition and exercise, being grateful nurtures our well-being. The article suggests reflecting on three good things each day or taking a moment on social media to share appreciation for someone else. These little gestures can significantly impact us, those we lead, and the communities we serve. Reflecting on my journey, I’m thankful for all the good, the challenges, and everything in between. Every experience has deepened my appreciation for the people I influence and the impact we can have on each other. As we gather today, let’s honor not only our big successes but also the small, meaningful wins that bring us joy and connection. This Thanksgiving, let’s commit to carrying gratitude forward—to ourselves, those around us, and our communities. Wishing you all a Thanksgiving filled with love, laughter, and heartfelt connection! Thanksgiving has always been about gratitude, but the context of what we’re grateful for has evolved dramatically since its origins. When the holiday began, it was about survival—celebrating the harvest, community, and shared resources in a time when life was deeply tied to nature and basic needs. Today, modern life offers conveniences unimaginable back then: advanced healthcare, instant global communication, abundant food, and the ability to connect across vast distances. But these blessings also come with challenges—digital overload, environmental concerns, and sometimes a disconnection from the simplicity of life’s essentials. Perhaps this Thanksgiving, we can use the lens of gratitude to re-center ourselves. Beyond material comforts, we might reflect on connection—to others, to the environment, and to ourselves. How can we honor the spirit of coming together in a time when individualism often dominates? It’s also an opportunity to recognize how far we’ve come while acknowledging the work still to do. What lessons can we take from the original spirit of Thanksgiving to bring more balance and meaning into our lives today? 📷Sarah Lynn Thomas 💃🏼 Monika Martuzevičiūtė

✨️Blessed – Thankful – Grateful For the ease and slowness, I’ve intentionally curated in my life post burnout. It is now a deep-rooted value that I will always prioritize. 🎵The best part of waking up🎵 (pause) It’s NOT, Folger’s‼️ 🌅It’s this AMAZING beach🌊 view at sunrise this morning with my unsweetened almond milk latte!☕️ As we move through the holidays—a time when expectations pile up—it’s easy to fall into old patterns. But here’s a gentle reminder: ✅️You don’t have to do it all! This Thanksgiving, I invite you to reflect: What can you release to make room for ease and joy? Start small. 💡 Mini Tip: Write down one thing you’ll stop doing this holiday season to protect your peace. Then, replace it with a moment of joy—something that lights you up inside. How are you inviting ease into your life this holiday season⁉️ Let me know in the comments—I’d love to hear. 🍂🍁Happy Thanksgiving!
