As I got to know my new position at TUM Technical University of Munich, I discovered that many people "behind the scenes" make a big impact on studies and research support. This includes the multi-talented and energizing people organizing "Open Day Campus Garching" and the "Open House with the Mouse". Activities that bring people in, making education, science, and scientific discovery more accessible to all ages and interests. From guided tours to demonstrations to lectures and informal talks, the doors really are open. I'm excited to be a very small part of it, especially to see colleagues shine.
