At our third investment strategy workshop led by the business accelerator,Crazy Town Oy, we started with a  recap of each ITAP's unique value proposition before diving into two major topics on investment planning for each institution’s Individual Transformation Acceleration Plan (ITAP). The workshop covered how to plan impactful investments across societal, academic, and business dimensions. Mikko Korpela introduced the IOOI Framework (Inputs – Outputs – Outcomes – Impact) to help align projects with market, societal, and user needs. He highlighted: “𝘐𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵'𝘴 𝘢𝘪𝘮𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘵, 𝘴𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘺, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘴. The investor approach to decision-making is somewhat different from how entrepreneurs make decisions regarding their businesses. Adopting this mindset can lead to better outcomes, mainly when one takes a holistic view of a business's operations. Founders can be personally invested and emotionally connected to aspects of business in the way investors are not, hence why it is so common for disagreements to emerge between these groups.
