If you can't speak it, VCs won't speak to you. Want to completely blow a VC pitch meeting? Not knowing the right KPIs guarantees failure. Sure, you need a good plan / team / product. Early-stage investors, I am coaching a number of promising startup-founders and I have a questions for you based on your own experiences: What are common pitching mistakes you see early startups make when they first meet with you? any specific focus areas, formats, overall content, metrics you'd advise them to implement more or less? Are there any downsides to contacting you too to establish contact if the startups aren't actively raising or do you only see it as something positive?
