I’m excited to share that Team ALTER ranked 8th out of 79 teams in the Shape the Future Challenge organized by Moonshot Pirates. Competing among 1,100+ participants from 110 countries, we were also honored to be the 6th most-voted team! Though we didn’t take the top prize, we walked away with so much more: new skills, meaningful connections, and a stronger belief in the power of innovation. Our project—a design for innovative agricultural pods—tackled global food security challenges and brought us together as a team united by a vision for a better future. What makes this achievement even more special is that it was my first time participating in a challenge outside the academic space and I’m so happy I took the leap! This experience pushed me out of my comfort zone, sharpened my skills in ideation, prototyping, and pitching, and allowed me to connect with inspiring minds worldwide. It was a journey of immense learning and growth, and I’m grateful for every moment.
