Russell has worked for VI for ten years and came to us with many years of industry experience already under his belt. 💪Having worked in the field of retail store display design and manufacturing for 25+ years, one of Russell’s strengths is his ability to take successful principles from past projects and adapt them to current projects. ❤️Russell’s favorite thing about VI is the people, specifically their experience, knowledge, and leadership. 📚When asked about the most valuable lesson Russell has learned during his career, he asserts it’s that people, relationships, and honesty matter. We couldn’t agree more. When he’s not working, Russell loves driving and riding classic 🚘 cars, 🛻 trucks, and 🏍️ motorcycles. What motivated you to pursue managing partner position in your industry? I was motivated to pursue the Managing Partner position in the car rental industry primarily because of my passion for cars and the excitement of the industry itself. Over the years, I've developed a deep love for automobiles and a keen interest in understanding how the industry operates. As I progressed from being a Technical Engineer to a Managing Director, I found immense joy in leading teams, implementing strategies, and seeing the business grow. The opportunity to become a Managing Partner was a natural next step for me because it allowed me to have a more significant impact on the direction and success of the company. Moreover, the dynamic nature of the car rental industry constantly presents new challenges and opportunities, which I find incredibly stimulating. Being a Managing Partner not only aligns with my career goals but also allows me to leverage my skills, experiences, and passion to drive further growth and innovation in the industry. Ultimately, it's the combination of my love for cars, the desire to make a meaningful impact, and the excitement of navigating the ever-evolving landscape of car rentals that motivated me to pursue the Managing Partner position.
