MESSAGE FROM FPT CHAIRMAN TRUONG GIA BINH In FPT's annual report, Chairman Truong Gia Binh shared a message about achievements in 2023 and plans for 2024: 🔰 Achieved profit before tax of VND 9,203 billion, up 19.6% and 20.1% respectively in the context of general difficulties when customers cut spending on IT. 🔰 For the first time, FPT achieved IT services revenue from abroad of 1 billion USD, demonstrating the level of Vietnamese enterprises comparable to global technology companies. 🔰 25 years ago, FPT had a big dream for Vietnam to become a software export powerhouse. And now Vietnam ranks No. 2 only after India. Hard Work & Success – A Direct Correlation Throughout my 20 years of work experience, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with leaders of major corporations such as FPT, Vingroup, and Vietjet. One thing I’ve observed consistently: the founders and most successful individuals all share one common trait—they are incredibly hard-working and relentlessly dedicated. Reflecting on my time at FPT, it wasn’t uncommon to have meetings with Trương Gia Bình until 1 or 2 a.m., and all-nighters until 5 a.m. were not rare. This wasn’t just work; it was a deep commitment to the mission they pursued with passion and intensity. When I later embarked on my entrepreneurial journey, this lesson became even more evident: alongside intelligence and resilience, hard work is the fundamental value. When resources are limited and markets are challenging, no matter how talented you are, without grit and persistence, no significant achievements can be made. Recently, I visited China and met with major corporations like Alibaba and Tencent. What left a strong impression on me was the work ethic of their employees. As Jack Ma once said, “If we want to surpass Americans, we must work harder than them.” However, I’ve noticed that many young people today are opting for a more relaxed approach, choosing to work less and enjoy life more. There’s nothing wrong with this, and I used to think the same way. But ultimately, whether you choose to work hard or take it easy depends on how far you want your business to go and how grand your vision is. If your dreams are big, you must fight for them. Hard work is not only a condition for success but also a way to live fully in pursuit of your ambitions. Work hard, play hard—only when we give our all can we truly enjoy life to the fullest. #Bizlife
