Design vs Function When it comes to gyms and gym equipment my business partner Chris Howell likes to reference the car the Defender. Luxury design & interior with high end finishes, but almost looks out of place when you see one driving down the street if its sparkling clean. You want to see some mud and dirt on it. That's what Defenders are designed for. Gym's can and should be beautifully designed, but also need to create a certain energy and feeling when you walk in. They need to make you want to move, sweat, exert effort. You're there to workout. If you walk into a gym and it's so beautifully designed that you almost feel like you shouldn't touch anything...feels more like an art gallery than a gym...it's overly designed. You have to find that Defender balance. www.spxfit.com

You get a little mud on a defender and you might have to replace the transmission 🤣.

Frank Englund so true! And a good reminder for us "city people" where our gyms can be like "Art Galleries." #physicalesteem
