🎉 Embracing the Holiday Spirit! 🎉 As the holiday season approaches, it's the perfect time to unwind, recharge, and embrace the joy and warmth that this special time of year brings. Whether you're planning a cozy staycation, an adventurous getaway, or simply spending quality time with loved ones, the holidays are a magical opportunity to create lasting memories. Here’s how I’m planning to make the most of this holiday season: Disconnect to Reconnect: Taking a much-needed break from emails and work calls to focus on the present moment. It's all about reconnecting with family and friends and cherishing the time we have together. Exploring New Places: Planning a little adventure to explore new destinations. Whether it's a scenic road trip or discovering hidden gems in my hometown, the thrill of new experiences is always exciting. Festive Activities: Engaging in fun holiday activities like baking festive treats, decorating the home, and maybe even a bit of holiday shopping. These small joys add so much to the festive spirit! Giving Back: The holidays are also a great time to give back. Volunteering at local charities or participating in community events can spread joy and make a positive impact on others' lives. Self-Care and Relaxation: Amidst all the excitement, it's essential to take care of oneself. Whether it’s reading a good book, enjoying a spa day, or simply lounging in PJs with a cup of hot cocoa, self-care is key. What are your holiday plans? I'd love to hear how you’re planning to celebrate and unwind. Feel free to share your holiday traditions or any exciting plans you have in the comments below! Wishing everyone a joyful and relaxing holiday season! 🎄✨ #HolidaySeason #WorkLifeBalance #RelaxAndRecharge #FestiveFun #HolidayPlans #SelfCare Take a moment to enjoy the festive cheer and make the most of this wonderful time of year! What do the holidays look like in your house? And who is in charge of everything? There’s a lot involved in making the holidays magical. And I will remind you that it’s not all on you. Yes, there is a lot to be done to make the holidays everything you want them to be. But it doesn’t all have to be your responsibility. And, it’s ok to simplify and say no to things. In fact, I recommend it! You do not have to attend every event you are invited to. This week, make time to sit down with your partner and figure out the following: 👉Are you sending holiday cards? If yes, why (because it’s important to keep in touch with loved ones or you feel obligated to do it because everyone else does)? If yes, who is in charge of doing them, what’s the budget, and when do they need to be ordered and sent out? 👉Who is in charge of gifts for the extended family? Are you each in charge of your own parents and siblings? (The answer should be yes, here). 👉Who is in charge of holiday decorations? When are they going up? Are there outside lights and decorations going up? Who is putting those up? Is it a family tradition to do it together? Is it done over a few days or weeks? 👉What about food? Are there special holiday treats you make? Do you enjoy doing this? Who buys the ingredients for the holiday meals? Who cooks the holiday meals (if you’re hosting?) 👉What activities are important during the holidays? Zoo lights? Drive-thru lights? The Nutcracker? Special family gatherings or religious gatherings? When do these happen? Can you get them on the calendar? Who is in charge of buying tickets? 👉Are you traveling or hosting? What needs to happen to make this go smoothly? This is your last chance for my holiday workshop! It helps you make the holidays magical for you and your family without wearing yourself out! https://lnkd.in/gBbZWBda #holidays #fairplaylife #magicforholidays #strideproductivty #workingmoms #workingmomlife #workingmothers #mompreneur #mompreneurlife #fairplayfacilitator #mentalload #workingmomproblems #workingmomstruggles #Christmas #Christmas2024

Does your holidays bring 𝙖 𝙢𝙞𝙭 𝙤𝙛 𝙚𝙭𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨? On one hand, there’s the joy of celebrating with loved ones, yet on the other, it often feels like there's so much to do and not enough time to enjoy it. I totally get it! The twinkling lights and festive vibes are magical BUT managing work, family commitments, and the usual holiday hustle, the season can quickly become overwhelming. I used to be the queen of last-minute scrambling—thinking I could do it all, only to end up feeling 𝙙𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙙 from the joy of the season. Take my holiday outings with my boyfriend ❤️, for example. I love the idea of impromptu dates, but as we get older (and busier!), we’ve learned that thoughtful planning is the key to truly enjoying quality time without the stress. So now, I make a 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙘𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙚𝙛𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙙: 🛍️ Christmas shopping (yes, it can be organised!) 🎉 Family and friend gatherings 🌟 Special festive outings Here’s how I make it work without feeling overwhelmed: 🎁 𝙋𝙇𝘼𝙉 𝘼𝙃𝙀𝘼𝘿 🎁 I’ve learned that the key to a smooth holiday season is being proactive. I subscribe to newsletters about local events and Christmas markets so I can plan ahead. Over the years, I’ve learned that my best holiday memories come from the moments that 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙡𝙮 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙚 with me. Whether it’s a quiet evening with family or a small gathering with close friends, I choose the experiences that feel 𝙖𝙪𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙘 to me. ✨ 𝙂𝙊 𝙊𝙁𝙁-𝙋𝙀𝘼𝙆 ✨ Weekdays are a game changer! Holiday weeks are a special time. They bring a chance to connect with loved ones, celebrate traditions, and reflect on what truly matters. But let’s face it: juggling work, family, and the festive chaos can be a challenge! Here are a few ways to stay grounded and present during the holidays: 1) Set Boundaries: When you’re with family, be with family. Stepping away from work for a few hours (or even a full day) can create lasting memories. 2) Plan Ahead: A little preparation goes a long way. Wrapping up work projects early allows you to fully enjoy the celebrations without last-minute stress. 3) Share the Load: Whether it’s cooking the holiday meal or organizing travel plans, leaning on your family and offering to help them in return strengthens bonds. 4) Be Grateful: Take a moment to appreciate the people around you. The best gifts this season are time and connection. As the holidays approach, let’s remember what truly matters—cherishing those closest to us and creating moments that last a lifetime. Wishing you a joyful and balanced holiday season!

🎄Wishing you all a joyful, peaceful, and meaningful holiday season! 🎄 Here's Why Holidays Like Christmas Matter in Our Lives As the year winds down and festive lights begin to glow, we’re reminded of the true essence of holidays like Christmas. These moments are more than just a break from the routine; they’re a vital part of our personal and professional well-being. Here's why: 1️⃣ Reflection and Gratitude: Holidays offer us a chance to pause, reflect on our achievements, and express gratitude for the people and moments that shaped our journey. They’re a time to reconnect with our purpose and recalibrate for the year ahead. 2️⃣ Connection with Loved Ones: In the hustle of daily life, we often overlook the importance of relationships. Holidays bring families and friends together, creating memories that strengthen bonds and remind us of the support systems that sustain us. 3️⃣ Creativity and Renewal: Stepping away from work allows our minds to wander, fostering creativity and fresh perspectives. It’s in these moments of relaxation that some of our best ideas emerge! 4️⃣ Cultural and Community Spirit: Festivals like Christmas bring communities together, celebrating shared values of kindness, giving, and togetherness. They remind us that we’re part of something bigger. 5️⃣ Mental and Physical Rejuvenation: Let’s not underestimate the power of rest! As we have officially entered into the holiday season with the First Advent yesterday, we'd like to wish everyone a very happy holidays and hope that your last month of 2024 is busy and full of joy. We know that the holiday season can be a difficult time for many people. Many internationals are away from their families and cannot travel, either due to finances, work, or waiting on residence permit extensions. Here are some ways to add cheer to the holiday season 🥂 🕯️ Add more lights to your home. Tis the season for candles and cozy ambience lighting, and it's now officially acceptable to put up your Christmas decorations. You'd be surprised how just a few candles can make everything feel a little brighter. 🥘 Host a dinner for your fellow internationals and Swedes! This is your chance to deepen your relationship with your new "family" in your new country. Whether it's a traditional julbord or a potluck, everyone appreciates an invite to dinner. 🎄 Visit your local Christmas market for some glögg (they have non-alcoholic versions, too) and a festive atmosphere. For people who have moved to a new country, how have you coped with loneliness during the holidays? What brings you joy? #Holidays #Sweden #WorkPermitHolders #InternationalEmployees #LiveInSweden #GodJul #HappyHolidays #InternationalLife

💫How to Keep the Holidays Politic-Free and Joyful💫 The holidays are a time to gather, connect, and cherish the people we love. While we may not see eye-to-eye, that shouldn’t overshadow the joy of being together. If you’re hoping for a peaceful, love-filled holiday, here are a few heartfelt tips: ✨Set a Loving Tone: Before your guests arrive, gently remind them that this time together is about celebration and connection. A simple, heartfelt message like, “Let’s focus on what brings us together, not what pulls us apart,” can set the tone for a day filled with love, not debate. ✨Gently Guide the Conversation: If politics do come up, it’s okay to lovingly steer the conversation toward something more uplifting. Ask about everyone’s favorite holiday memories, share light-hearted stories, or talk about future plans. Sometimes, a little redirection can bring the focus back to the joy of being together. ✨Create Shared Joy with Activities: Plan activities that everyone can enjoy, like a holiday game, a cookie-decorating contest, or sharing stories around the table. When everyone is engaged in fun and laughter, it becomes easier to focus on togetherness rather than differences. ✨Step Away If Needed: If you sense things starting to get heated, it’s okay to step away for a moment. Offer to refill drinks, check on the food, or take a deep breath. These small breaks can help reset the energy and bring calm back to the gathering. ✨Make Gratitude the Centerpiece: Invite everyone to share something they’re grateful for this year. It’s a beautiful way to remind each other of the blessings we have and to shift the focus back to love, family, and the spirit of the season. This holiday season, let’s choose love over conflict, connection over division, and joy over everything else. At the end of the day, being with the people we care about is what matters most. 😊 #DrBernadetteMD #HolidayJoy #ChooseLove #GratitudeFirst #Peace#Family #HolidaySeason #Friends #CherishTheMoment #SpreadLove

Are you feeling the holiday time crunch? Let me introduce you to a game-changing concept: Einstein Time. In The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks, Einstein Time flips the way we think about time. Instead of being limited by time, it suggests that you are the creator of time. Time expands or contracts based on your mindset and how you focus your energy. For busy professionals, this idea is especially powerful during the holidays—a season filled with packed schedules, looming deadlines, and personal commitments. So, how can Einstein Time help us not just survive but actually enjoy the holidays? Here are three simple shifts to take control of your time: 1️⃣ Own Your Time: Stop saying, "I don't have time." Instead, acknowledge that you create time for what matters. Choose holiday moments—like decorating, gift-giving, or connecting with loved ones—that bring you joy, and let go of things that don’t. 2️⃣ Prioritize Presence Over Perfection: Trying to do it all can make time feel like it’s slipping away. Instead, focus fully on one thing at a time. Whether it’s wrapping gifts or closing a deal, your undivided attention makes time feel richer and more abundant. 3️⃣ Say No to Say Yes: Protect your energy by saying no to things that don’t align with your priorities. This clears space for experiences that truly matter—whether it’s celebrating milestones at work or enjoying holiday traditions with family. Einstein Time isn’t about magically creating hours in the day; it’s about shifting your relationship with time so you can reclaim your sense of control. This holiday season, let’s make time for joy, connection, and meaningful moments—on our own terms. How are you creating space to enjoy the holidays?
