Having worked on these over the last 9 months with Coen ter Wal, Coco C., Rupert Warmington and other members of the AFME (Association for Financial Markets in Europe) team, along with my colleagues Matteo Sbraga and Boika Deleva at Clifford Chance, it is great to see the publication of two important digital finance thought leadership pieces today. (1) "Scaling DLT-based SSA and Government Bond Markets - A Roadmap Strategy for European issuers" (linked below), in which we have mapped out various strategic options for SSA and government bond issuers looking to engage in the digital bond market (2) "Scaling DLT-based Capital Markets - A Policy Roadmap for the EU and the UK" (both the EU and UK versions are available at https://lnkd.in/et_v7nNP), in which AFME members have expressed views as to how regulation in the EU and the UK might evolve to help scale DLT-based capital markets These publications are not just for SSA and government bond issuers or policymakers. Alongside the more strategic considerations, we have set out in a comprehensible fashion how DLT can be used in the capital markets and what innovations we can expect to see in the coming years.
