As a follow up to Dave Culligan's video that I reposted earlier today + his inspiration to do so from one of my faves, Joshua Counsil's recent post, I'm throwing my hat into the ring + offering my 2 cents + a solution on the hard times that small businesses are facing in 2024. It's hard to keep your head down + stay in your lane when you're trying to find your way, wear multiple hats (do more with less is a thing for many!), grow your business, support your clients, deliver exceptional results/services/products, build a team, create jobs, keep the lights on, find ways to be innovative, creative, disruptive + not let doing what you love every single day get buried beneath all of the above. One of the things I'm insanely proud of at The Warrington Group is that we offer customized recruitment solutions to businesses ~ meaning, if times are less than stellar or if you are trying to grow but need help finding the right people for your team, we work with you + have pricing solutions that others in the industry don't typically offer. This isn't a sales pitch but it is an option when you're deciding between the 'chicken + the egg' scenario of spending money to make money or not having enough time to do the things that are needed to hire the talent. When I started in 2020, I was determined to 'do it different', 'help others who had a need but may not have the budget', 'make sure others had someone to help with the heavy lifting' It served us very well but most importantly, it helped other small businesses win + that's what I care about most. I tried the speed wall for the first time ever this weekend. You wanna know the first thing I did? Went up 2 steps and intentionally fell to test the Auto-Belay! When I engage with a new system/process/product, I wanna know what the fail safes of that system are and how they work and when they engage. The truth of recruiting is this - if you are a recruiter then YOU are the Auto-Belay for your org.
