We are smashing our strategy. I sent this message to the team yesterday I couldn’t be prouder of what we have achieved in such a short period of time. Our primary focus is to have every.single.process locked in before we even consider going for scale. And we are well ahead of where we need to be. There are two key lessons that I’ve had during this process. 1. We completely over estimate what’s possible in a single day (especially as we navigate life with a baby!) 2. When you have a ruthless focus on your priorities, shit gets done. The ultimate lesson here is that it is ok to be slow and steady, as long as it’s slow and steady in the right direction.

Effective teams don't happen by accident. They are built through intentional effort, holding one another accountable for success. That means having a common goal, shared and agreed upon set of protocols for handling conflict, making decisions, and running meetings. That builds trust--and leads to folks being able to give candid feedback with respect. I've been on teams that have sucked the life out of me. And I've been on some that have been inspiring, energetic, and fun. Where hard work didn't feel so hard because the end game was worth it and people I was doing it with were "all in." Tell me about a great team you've been on? What made it so great? #bealeadernotafollower #businessconsulting #leadingpeople

It’s work because it’s work, but it becomes meaningful, cause-connected, and fulfilling when those around are more than just team members—they are people who challenge you to be your best self. A few allies and I were discussing thoughts, ideas, and innovations focused on continuous improvement and problem-solving. Some people think it’s the job that makes the difference, but for me, it will always be the people. Those who are willing to jump in and collaborate with you to make a difference in everything we are doing. The best meetings are never scheduled; they just happen, in places where we all find ourselves together, providing an opportunity to iterate in real time. #TeamSport #LeadFromWithin #BeTheDifference

Ever feel like your team is stuck in a cycle of ups and downs? It’s all part of the journey! Teams evolve through four stages: 1. Forming 2. Storming 3. Norming 4. Performing. Each phase brings unique challenges, but when embraced, they lead to a stronger, more cohesive team. The key is to navigate these stages with patience, trust, and open communication. Read about these four stages here https://buff.ly/4eKV3EW Where does your team stand today? Let’s keep building together! #TeamDevelopment #teamwork #tuesdayswithcoachmo

Could this be happening on your team? If your business and team are growing quickly, this could be happening and be the problem thread across your team... Delegation is key to growing. 'Drop delegating' happens on growing teams. If you have a growth-mindset and love growing your people, you or your management team could be 'drop delegating'. Well intentioned but it could be the problem thread that is causing frustrations, missed timelines, inconsistent results, dropping team engagement and KEEP YOU STUCK IN A CYCLE and unable to spend the time you want on growth for you and the future of the business. Flip through to see if this is happening on your team. If you want a new way of working DM me for info on a FREE EVENT coming soon.

As we close out the first quarter of 2024, I am seeing a lot of teams focus on their abilities to work together and strategize as we get deeper into the year. Many teams are setting short-term goals that will help them realize successes as we race to the middle of the year. Here are three things to think about as you and your team strategize for 2024: Follow Your Plan It’s fun to brainstorm a plan. The execution of the plan is harder! https://buff.ly/3UTdxwm

Two teams. Same company. Vastly different outputs. 🚀 Team 2: 24 hrs/wk delivering value 🚀 Team 1: 6 hrs/wk delivering value Ever wonder why? It’s not just about “productivity.” The truth is, without a safe space for honest conversations, you’ll never uncover the real issues. Team 1 won’t share their struggles if they fear being shamed for “low performance.” When managers mask problems with positivity and avoid addressing blockers, progress stalls. The organization gets stuck comparing teams with empty benchmarks and standards. Let’s create environments where teams can speak freely about their challenges. Only then can we achieve real progress. Are you fostering open dialogue in your team? Share your thoughts!
