Since our journey began last December, we've welcomed over 𝟮𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 to Teacher AI. While the early months saw new features added rapidly, it wasn’t without challenges – in April, we faced some scalability issues. Hey LinkedIn, Some of y'all might recall I've been iterating on a service-driven AI project for awhile called Aspasia on the side. Since my last post, it's broken 1000 unique visitors and many more submissions, all through organic channels. To review, Aspasia is a learning tool built on a few foundational premises: 1. There is no moral value to being born into a place with more or less resources. 2. People’s informed choices should shape their outcomes, not chance. 3. Basic resources and access to information are prerequisites for emotional stability, effective learning, and good decisions. 4. Informed people make better decisions that strengthen society; a stronger society promotes informed people. This leads to a few key values for the product: 1. Educational access 2. Personal agency and responsibility 3. It's about the destination, not the journey 4. Safety and security The product takes the power of AI and pairs it with frameworks and best practices for learning, including goal setting, resource variety, personalization, and active learning. It's a functional prototype — a public "alpha" — capturing the flavors of a robust feature set without a proper backend, user profiles, or a slick UX.
