Quantum Year: get involved.
The Australian Institute of Physics invites research, cultural, political, business and industry organisations to get involved and use Quantum Year to share your science.
BUILDING QUANTUM YEAR
1. Plan and register your events early
We’re building Quantum Year much like National Science Week, a community festival that everyone can be part of simply by registering the events and using the branding. Each year there are over 1,500 Science Week events.
We’ve created the tools to promote the Year through events, the web, socials, and this bulletin. Now we’re asking everyone planning an event to register their events. Don’t wait until you’ve got all the details, we can update your posts later. The sooner you register, the more we can do to help you find collaborators, avoid clashes, and build buzz for your event and the Year. And you can use the Quantum Year branding in your promotions. Anyone can plan and register a Quantum Year event.
You can view registered events here: https://lnkd.in/essX4AiN
And add your own events here: https://lnkd.in/es6m2ucw
2. Join our State committees
Each AIP branch is planning activities. Please contact us if you’d like to get involved in local activities.
3. Partner with us to do more
With your support, we will be able to widely promote Quantum Year and organise a range of national projects including
- Community grants
- National lecture tour
- Parliamentary and industry events
- Publications celebrating Australia’s place in quantum science.
We invite universities, government agencies and the tech sector to talk to us about sponsorship or read our prospectuses online at https://lnkd.in/eynXxa6p. Packages range from $5,000 to $200,000.
Quantum Year in the media
We’ve been talking quantum across the media including ABC News Radio, Radio National Breakfast, 2SM, The Conversation, and ABC local radio in Melbourne, Tasmania, Perth, and regional Victoria. See the latest stories at https://lnkd.in/evA5TZdX.
