This says a lot about the emotional connection to the Netball NSW teams. There are many factors that drive support to a team, it’s not simply a winning season! What a match it was too - a fantastic nail-biter. True North will be back in field measuring our emotional connection, motivations, behaviors, sponsorship success and much more. If you want to guarantee your team or league is included in our BenchMark study get in touch! #BenchMark #EmotionalConnection #AusSports #SportsBiz
Only netball fans would sell out a stadium in the final game of the season, where both NSW teams unexpectedly hover at the bottom. It’s the athleticism Sydney fans love; these women are resilient and incredible role models of female’s number one team sport in Australia. A picture of a thousand words to demonstrate - it’s never the destination, it’s the journey we love. Congratulations to Julie Fitzgerald AM and Briony Akle; the culture you have both created is a world class standard of teamwork. Us fans see it, trust it and have your backs, always.

Road To LEGACY
The excitement is rising as we gear up for tomorrow’s Aalborg BK match in the 3F Superliga! The international break has given us the chance to reflect on the first half of the season and critically assess our progress, especially in terms of player development! Aalborg BK has a clear strategy focused on bringing young talents from North Jutland and Aalborg into Portland Park to not only join the professional squad but to make a real impact. These players aren’t just there to fill the squad — they are expected to become key contributors and play a pivotal role in the team’s success. Giving them valuable minutes on the pitch and integrating them as essential parts of the first team is a core part of the club’s philosophy. We are proud that the hard work of our staff at Hornevej is already paying off this season, and we’re starting to see the first successes on this path! Watch the video to hear what James Gow and Julius Nagel have to say about this approach. But what excites us the most is hearing young players like Oliver Ross and Mads Bomholt share their experiences, paving the way for future talents from our academy. We’re especially proud of their words, because ultimately, everything we do at the club is for them and our fans!

Congratulations to Sport Positive for an excellent Summit that took place over the last couple days at The Kia Oval - Surrey County Cricket Club in London. Including the Sport Positive Awards. It was good. In the Round Ltd were pleased to be part of a great event with a room full of (what looked to be about 400) passionate advocates of sustainability in the sport sector. Observing the relentless rallying cry that 'sport' needs to continue to do more to influence governments and the public to do their bit was inspiring. Three stand-out points for me: 👍 Chris Boardman's key note saying that, in essence, the sport sector has to move on 'from moving deck chairs around the Titanic' to being the driving force behind the step-change that's needed. 🏆 at a more practical level that there's the need to leverage more and more on the affinity that fans have with their sport, club, athletes etc to influence their behaviours on matters with high sustainability impact. 🚌 and, personal view, but until there’s widespread acceptance among sports leaders (whether at club, stadium or federation level) of their responsibility to lead the charge on enhancing the spectator travel experience (but not necessarily paying for it) - because it’s as intrinsic to overall spectator experience as the quality of food inside the venue or the view of the sport - then addressing the environmental impact of that travel will remain sidelined as "someone else's responsibility". Onward. #Sportpositive24 #sustainableevents #sustainabletravel #STRIVE #eventprofs Terri Lynam Zara Fuller
🎉 We are thrilled that the Sport Positive Awards 2024 are finally here! 🧡 Thank you to all entrants, nominees and judges 🏆 Stay tuned for winner announcements. #SportPositiveAwards #SportPositive24 #greensports #sportsforclimateaction

Throwback to 2020 when we were promised a full-sized grass sports pitch and a space for the local boxing club when Dublin City Councillors agreed to sell-off two parcels of land at St. Teresa’s Gardens. The plan was for Hines to construct a full-sized GAA pitch for Gaelic football and hurling, which would also have been used for soccer and rugby. Although there are still plans to build a pitch, we cannot keep waiting for years and years – our kids need sporting facilities now. There are already 8,500 kids without a pitch and with the new housing developments, that number will just continue to grow. https://lnkd.in/eHsNr9Kq

Celebrating Team Spirit and Growth: A Day at the BRHA West League Under 8s What an exhilarating day it has been for the young athletes of the BRHA West League Under 8s! Today marked a significant milestone for our combined teams – the Lion Cubs, Predators, and Knights. Displaying their finest performance to date, each player demonstrated remarkable improvement since their initial games, showcasing the true spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork. Despite the challenge of being three separate teams that only unite on game days, these young stars have transcended boundaries to form lasting partnerships and friendships. Their dedication and camaraderie were evident from the very first puck drop to the final whistle, a testament to their growing synergy and mutual support. Adding an exciting twist to the day, we equipped our players with GoPros, capturing the action from their unique perspectives. The footage promises to offer an intimate glimpse into the game, allowing us to relive the moments through the eyes of our players. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the parents who have been the backbone of this journey, ensuring their children could participate and thrive. Your commitment has not only made these game days possible but has also contributed to the nurturing environment that allows our sport to flourish. As we approach the end of the season, with just one more day left for our combined team, we look forward to the future with optimism. The prospect of each team having its own Under 8s squad next season is a thrilling development for the sport's growth. The bonds formed this season will endure, particularly for those who will continue playing in the same Ice Teams. For those interested in joining the Lion Cubs for the 2024/25 season, we invite you to attend one of our training sessions or reach out via email info@lionsihc.co.uk or direct message. We're excited to expand our offerings to include league games for players ranging from under 8s to 16s next season. Don't miss the chance to be part of our vibrant community and help us write the next chapter in our hockey legacy. Join us, and let's skate towards a future filled with goals, glory, and lifelong friendships! 🏒🥅 https://buff.ly/3WTKmKu #Hockey #GameDay #Win #Goal #Save #League #BRHA
