🚗📉 Join our colleague Aitor Ormaetxea for an insightful conference on the latest automotive industry trends! 🌍🔋 In the 20th century, increasing vehicle size and weight were synonymous with better quality, comfort, and safety. However, in recent decades, with stricter CO2 regulations and the growing importance of EV battery capacity, weight reduction has become a key challenge for the automotive sector. This conference will delve into how 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 has emerged as 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗱𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁. Fagor Arrasate has led the way with cutting-edge developments like high-speed lines, servo-hydraulic presses, twin furnace systems, and partial cooling technologies. We will also explore the rising prominence of new steel alloys and stamping processes, alongside the growing role of composites and aluminum hot stamping in this evolving landscape. The conference will take place on the 2nd of October in Monterrey, Mexico, within the framework of the “4𝘵𝘩 𝘌𝘹𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘚𝘶𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵: 𝘌𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘤𝘢𝘳 𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘴 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩-𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘴" organized by Digicon Academy: https://lnkd.in/dTUnBeG5 Don't miss this opportunity to discover the future of automotive manufacturing! 🚀 #AutomotiveIndustry #LightWeight #Innovation #Sustainability #PressHardening

When it comes to creating interiors, vehicle manufacturers are reliant on a range of pressure-sensitive adhesives to attach foam and fibre pads, PUR seals and gaskets, buzz-rattle-squeak solutions and soft trim to bring everything together. Getting the right bonding tapes for automotive interiors can be a challenge given the complex nature of the materials used by OEMs. These days, OEMs rely on a huge range of materials to fit out the interior of vehicles, materials which are becoming increasingly advanced and in need of tape solutions to match. Our range of advanced tape solutions is developed with this in mind. https://avydn.co/3XTbqKs

POST #6 June 26,2024 Attending the International Aluminum Alloys 2024 at Georgia Tech, Atlanta Georgia USA 🇺🇸 Georgia Tech College of Engineering Georgia Institute of Technology Mark White Innovation Director DSW Automotive Ltd. Title: Aluminum in Automotive – the efficient, affordable, sustainable alternative for future passenger transportation.Abstract: Steel sheet has dominated Body-in-White (BIW) applications in the automotive industry for the previous 100 years, but at the start of the 21st century aluminum intensive vehicles from Audi & Jaguar went into production, demonstrating the potential for vehicle light weighting with aluminum for improved performance & economy, whilst lowering vehicle emissions. In the last 20 years, aluminum has gone from low volumes on niche vehicles to now over 2 million Aluminum Intensive Vehicles being produced every year, but what about the future with Electrification, do we need light-weighting & how do we make the application of aluminum affordable & sustainable to make future passenger vehicles more efficient for OEMs & customers.
