Last week I have been diving into the industry multiples of women's football clubs around the globe, to provide a valuation benchmark in later stages for HERA United 🚀 I have found valuable insights from the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), where the valuations have soared over time as the popularity of the game continues to rise. ➡ Here are some main insights: - The average club in the NWSL has a valuation of $73 million, with Angel City Football Club newest valuation set at $250 million making it the most valuable women's sport team in the world - The multiples for these teams (based on entreprise value/revenue) are on average around 8x, which is comparable to high-growth sectors with a strong market demand and significant future potential But what kind of valuations we can expect from leading European women's teams? The New York Times did report that Chelsea Football Club is considering a sale of a minority stake in their women's team at a valuation of $200 million. Personally I am thrilled to see these soaring multiples in women's football, which reflects the increasing recognition and investment in the women's game ⚽
