V2X reinforces car dominance rather than transitioning away from it. Brian Cronin from the USDOT recently returned from the ITS conference in Dubai, captivated by V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) technology. The real solution lies in emphasizing low-tech modes of transportation — walking, biking, and public transport — rather than relying on technology to keep vehicles from killing people. (And shifting the blame to people who are killed by vehicles.) To achieve transportation justice, cities must prioritize human-centered planning that focuses on the needs of all users, not just those in cars. Cities, particularly in the global South, where car ownership is low, can benefit immensely from leveraging technology in a different way: using data to create environments designed for people, not vehicles. Last week, I had the opportunity to attend the #Power2Drive exhibition on charging infrastructure and E-Mobility for the first time. As a newcomer to the industry, I must admit that the show proved to be an invaluable opportunity for learning and networking, coupled with a wonderful time in the beautiful city of Munich. 🇩🇪🤝 While I am still processing the fruitful exchange of ideas and physically recovering from the event (yes, my feet and throat certainly felt the three full days at #Power2Drive), it is now time to share my reflections and insights. 💡📈 🏗️ The Team: As a rookie, the team at #FLEXECHARGE equipped me with the right tools to be prepared from the start. It was immensely gratifying to see genuine interest from both existing and potential customers in our new product brochures showcasing #HARMONE, the leading and most future-proof platform for load and energy management in the market for #CPOs, along with innovative features such as battery storage integration. This was one of my first #ProductManagement initiatives, and I couldn’t be happier to have collaborated with Nicolas Lerch and the one and only Christophe Lephilibert on this project—two absolute powerhouses who kept the energy and pace high. ⚡️🔋 🎤 FLEXECHARGE TechTalks: DNO control and battery integration are two of the hot #ProductTrends we have been observing. It was great to learn from field experts like Robert Brehm, Steffen Ackmann from Pixii AS and Eugenio Cavaliere from SAE IT-System. 🎧 🤝 The Industry: I met so many fascinating individuals—friends, partners, existing and potential new customers—during the show. Thank you for visiting our booth and bringing new perspectives to our #product. #ProductInnovation doesn’t always happen in a garage. 🛠️ 🍽️ The After-Show: It was great to dine and learn from our advisory board, discussing E-mobility and ATP background stories with Wulf Schlachter, and #ProductMarketFit with Tobias Scharfen 🔥🍷 🏙️The City: #Munich showcased its best side, with e-mobility enthusiasts, football lovers, and locals enjoying the city and its sunny weather. 🌞⚽️ 🚀 Big things are coming… stay tuned.
