The answer will blow your mind... Someone asked, "Why do we have brakes in a car"? Varied answers were received, like, "To stop", "To reduce speed", "To avoid collision" etc., but the best answer was, "To enable you to drive faster" Give it a thought. It's true but seldom such smart out of box thinking is done, much less appreciated. For a moment assume you have no brakes in your car then how fast will you drive your car?! It's because of brakes that we can dare to accelerate, dare to go fast and reach destinations we desire. At various points in life, we find our parents, teachers, mentors, friends and spouse etc. questioning your progress, direction or decision. We consider them as irritants or consider such inquiries as "brakes" to our ongoing work. But, remember, it's because of such questions (read periodical brakes) that you have managed to reach where you are today. Without brakes, you could have skid, lost direction or gone astray or met with an unfortunate accident !!!. Learn to appreciate the 'brakes' in your life. Use them wisely...

Is the condition of your vehicle a reflection of how you live your life? Is it clean and organized? Or messy and chaotic? I never really gave it much thought until I re-read Atomic Habits. So often to we ignore how little details impact the bigger picture. A clean car may not seem like a big deal. But it’s a reflection of how you approach work, relationships and even opportunities. It’s not about the car - it’s about the habits behind it. What are your thoughts? What does your car say about you?

How many times has the FOMO … Fear of missing out, lead you down the wrong path. Yet if we stopped to think and take time to brake down the component parts of our wants and desires It is in its basic form not worth so much of our time and effort… For example to own an expensive luxurious car, would be on the face of it great and wonderful When you break it down, it is a mechanically propelled vehicle with an engine, four wheels and a steering wheel, amongst other important component parts But the point is it’s just a car, that will most likely cost a lot of money to own Money that will not be replaced unless you have some other way of off setting the cost But is it worth it? If we adopt an almost cynical way of looking at things for the things we desire, covet We create objectivity that will hopefully counter balance our natural bias towards these things That often lead our lives to misery and regret Have a great week ahead

There are two kinds of people in this world !!🙂 Imagine this: You borrow a friend’s car or bike, and while driving, you get into a small accident. Nervously, you pick up the phone to tell them what happened. Now, here’s where it gets interesting. The first type answers the call, and their immediate response is, "Are you okay?" Their first instinct is to check on your well-being. The second type? They say, "Is the car okay?" Their focus goes straight to the vehicle. Same situation, but two very different reactions. It makes you think: What truly matters to us in moments of crisis? People or things? Which one would you be? Do introspect 🧐 --- #SundayMorningThoughts #BasedOnTrueStories #MindsetMatters #EmotionalIntelligence #Values

Control How do you feel when you go get your car washed? 🚘 You may be in the camp who loves it (or your kiddos). The flashing lights, the water, the noise. Renewing something once messy. Or you may be like me. Doing deep breathing exercises until my car reaches the other end. I have given my car approximately 8 car washes in its life which is about 40 too few. Control, according to the Merriam Webster’s Dictionary, is defined as “the authority to guide and manage; direct influence.” In a car wash, you begin with control and then lose it. You have to put trust in a system. You have to put trust in a team. You have to put trust in yourself. Thinking of our own day to day work, is it easy for you to give up control? To trust a system? To trust a team? To trust yourself? When we have confidence, this may be easier than usual. When our confidence is lowered or we are adjusting to something new, this may be more difficult. Those 8 washes? My car and I always made it to the other side. Remember, you can too. 💪 #control #analogy #trust #cars #ProudtobeIP ------------ My #fulltimeRV family is taking in the sunshine in South Dakota recently. Did I mention also the 50 mph wind? They were parked near a cliff similar to the one below and for their safety, they ended up moving. If you need to control a situation to be safe, always put your safety first.
