In less than 2 weeks, I'll be pressing the button to launch v1.0.0 of Bring It On!
February 20, 2022 - August 16, 2024 is a tad bit longer than the '6 weeks or so' I thought it would take me to make a super-small, simple game to get back into game development after having some personal issues at the end of 2021 that made me want to quit.
It ended up taking this long because I was having fun working on [parts of] it, and I felt like I kept wanting to try new ideas and expand what the game would be.
A lot of those ideas got removed or just left unexplored, but overall, I think the game is solid enough for what it is, and I think - HOPE - people will play and enjoy it.
I have some plans for a few small post-launch updates as a bonus to people who enjoy the game. More on those, later!
I want to take a second to thank the people that helped me get this game done.
First, Oryx (of Oryx Design Lab), who I only know tangentially because I used their assets for a game jam years and years ago and then bought their complete collection as soon as they were available to buy. Sort of the secret, silent 2nd main team member on the game, and they don't even know it! I hope they're doing well!

Second, Mau Mora, who did the title art very early on in development - and then provided all the art for the memory fragments. They did such an amazing job!

Dorian Kavadlo provided the music. I think he did a great job marrying the visual look of the game, the feel of each level I was going for, and the energy I wanted to bring the game. Look for the soundtrack available soon!
Matthew Sinclair helped with making the trailers for the game. Something I struggled with a ton on my own.
And last, but not least, my kid Elliot who had to put up with me talking their ear off about the game all the time, asking them to playtest until they were sick of the game, and offering suggestions and ideas that I would end up ruining when I actually put them in the game. Your suffering was much appreciated!
Okay, that's it for this rambling overshare. PLEASE check out the game and give it a wishlist if you haven't already!
I will almost certainly share more random stuff between now and the 16th, so keep your eyes open!
Bring It On! is ALMOST FINISHED!
You can pick up the FULL GAME on August 16th, 2024!
It has been a much longer road to get here than we first anticipated!
We can't wait to finally have this finished - and then on to the next project!
