Proposal Warriors: Thanksgiving May Wait, But Deadlines Don’t! It’s Hump Day, and while the holidays are calling, the RFPs are piling up! 🍂 Deadlines don’t care about Thanksgiving plans, but neither do we when it comes to delivering results. Fueled by coffee and determination, we’re powering through the midweek grind—because proposals don’t write themselves. 5 BIG THINGS I learned this week. (1) Monday mornings when you are sick are TOUGH. A special thanks to my colleagues in Plano, TX who were so understanding when I had to cancel our plans. Looking forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks 😎 (2) Two doctors' visits later I am on the mend. The first gave me the medicine I needed; the second showed me how I was winning my battle with weight (and what that means to my overall health) 💪 (3) Poppy has been a great companion all week. But a dog is always going to do dog things. It's in her nature. For example, when we are outside for a potty break, if a squirrel shows up, she is going to chase the squirrel. There's nothing I can do to stop her. My job is to remind her after the squirrel leaves that she still needs to go potty 🐕 (4) A lot of analogies I could make about #3 when it comes to running a small business. I'm going to leave that alone for now 😉 (5) Some really exciting things at KS&R this week: Hitting targets. Closing gaps. No loose ends. We can feel the momentum building 👊 Onward to another great week. Better understanding. Better decisions. That's KS&R.

Fall Break is here at UMD—a perfect time to relax and recharge.  🍂 On the first day of classes, my office popped outside to take this updated staff picture.  And while it feels like we took this nine *days* ago, the calendar tells me its been nine weeks!
