Hey connections! 🖐 Excited to share my internship journey with you, from start to finish. Firstly, the selection process kicked off with applying on Intershala, followed by resume screening and an interview round that delved into behavioral and analytical questions. After successfully clearing the interview, I embarked on my internship at Agrovita Foods, a prestigious ISO certified export company. During my time there, I was tasked with web scraping data from various B2B platforms, analyzing the data to identify the states with minimal import costs for Agrovita Foods, and communicating findings to potential buyers. This experience significantly honed my analytical and communication skills. And here's the kicker: I received my first official stipend in the most unexpected and hilarious way – an online transfer that came with a humorous note! Certainly, a memorable start to my professional journey. 🤪 A special thanks to Agrovita Foods for this invaluable opportunity✨ #InternshipExperience #DataAnalysis #CommunicationSkills #AgrovitaFoods #CareerDevelopment"

This week, our Plantrician Library features a new article from Tina Speros, MS, RD Candidate at Andrews University! Tina recently completed an internship at The Plantrician Project, working with our Director of Education, Jill Edwards, on Plantrician University, and did fantastic work! "My advice for any plant-based student in the healthcare industry is to not lose touch with your passion. It can be discouraging to be in environments that do not share your beliefs and follow evidence-based research. Therefore, you must take it upon yourself to actively seek involvement in plant-based projects. Share your expertise with others even when it feels uncomfortable... you do not know the extent of the impact it may have on that person." -Tina Speros Read more about Tina's dietetic internship experience, advice for plant-based students in healthcare, and an epiphany while completing her internship: https://loom.ly/Gp66W8A #plantricianproject #education #healthcareeducation #internship #dietetic #plantbased #healthcarestudents #medstudents #PlantU #andrewsuniversity #followyourpassion #plantbasednutrition

🌟 Excited to share the completion of my internship at the Model Dairy Plant, NDRI! 🌟 This past June, I had the incredible opportunity to work across multiple departments, gaining hands-on experience in various crucial aspects of the dairy industry. I learned extensively about: 🧪Quality Assurance: I gained hands-on experience in ensuring that dairy products meet stringent safety and quality standards. I was involved in testing for contaminants, analyzing product quality, and adhering to food safety protocols. 🏭 Production: From understanding the flow of milk processing to witnessing the stages of production, I learned the essential steps that transform raw milk into finished dairy products. This experience gave me insights into optimizing production efficiency while maintaining product quality. 🔧 Engineering & Maintenance: I had the chance to learn about the critical role of machinery and equipment in dairy processing. I participated in routine maintenance tasks and understood how engineering and timely maintenance ensure smooth operations and prevent downtime. 📊 Sales & Marketing: Understanding the market dynamics, customer needs, and sales strategies was a highlight. I got an overview of how dairy products are marketed, the logistics involved, and strategies used to boost sales in a competitive market. 📦 Store & Inventory Management: Learning about the supply chain, from procurement to inventory management, gave me a clearer understanding of how essential it is to manage resources efficiently to keep the plant running smoothly. The 🍅 stories. A series about growing fruit and people. This one is about the value of internships. When I first started growling tomatoes I’d go to the nursery and buy my plants. But often some failed and others produced little fruit. Today I grow all my tomatoe plants from Heirloom seeds. I care for each plant, thining, pruning and carefully transitioning them outside. Now, none of my plants fail. This makes me think about the challenges hiring early career professionals. We both tried our best but often, it didn’t work out. If I’d instead invest in a few interns we would have built a relationship from the start, snipping and pruning each other, so we both got the results we’d hope for. If you 👍 this 🍅 story please share and repost! #internships.
