Who you decide to hire is your most expensive decision as a sales manager. Let’s make some assumptions: 1st year salary is 100K, $1 million annual sales target, and expected 6-months to ramp up. Then, the minimum cost of discovering a bad hire after 12 months is $663K! • Recruitment cost (25% of $100K base salary) = $25K • Time spent interviewing and selecting candidates 35 hours @$100/hr $3.5K • Onboarding and training $9.5K • Salary and benefits (25% of salary) = $125K • Unmet sales quota $500K Not to mention the hidden costs of reduced company morale, customer service issues, and loss of employee engagement. How has the cost of a bad hiring decision impacted you? #saleshiring #salesrecruiting Resources https://zurl.co/8nQ0a https://zurl.co/SbP0s

To all the HR recruiters posting about job openings here for sales roles, kindly do not post confusing profiles as sales & Marketing.. they both are different streams..bringing in business for the organisation and building a brand to ultimately get in to the mindscape of consumers for being bought are two different things...they might be interconnected but they are not same ( as I have build brands all my life and helped sales team to grow with marketing and brand strategies) Just like brand marketing is different than growth marketing or growth marketing is different than product marketing or brand communication is different than corporate communication. . kindly don't use these terms interchangeably.... Be specific and make sense !

I've spoken to some incredible sales people in the past fortnight. What's the common trend? They're all completely different! → Some are loud and charismatic, others are more analytical and methodical. → Some love being in the office and around the team, others prefer to be at home and "in the zone". → Some prefer a strong commission structure, others prefer a higher base with more of a bonus structure. → Some prefer the idea of being an early hire, other prefer the idea of joining somewhere more established. → Some love the idea of travel, both locally and internationally, others won't or can't commit to travelling as part of a role. The list goes on. The point here is that everyone is different. Sales isn't a one-size fits all. Remember that when looking for your next sales hire. #recruitment #recruiter #recruiters #recruiting #hiring #sales #salespeople #salesperson #salesjob #saassales #saas #b2b #b2bsaas

Considering my post if you want better candidates you need to improve your hiring process has 32K impressions I thought I would give you two free ways to help make you attract candidates and improve your process. Put your hiring process on your company site. With each step there is in your process. Put the HR or Recruiters contact information there. At the very least an email address for a real person. Compress the process. For example you are hiring an Account Executive. The first call/interview can be with the Recruiter and the Sales Manager. The second call hopefully within 3-5 business days of the first can be with the HR Leader and the VP of Sales. The third call hopefully within 3-5 business days of the second call can be with the Founder/CRO/Marketing/Rev Ops Director/ The fourth call ideally within 3-5 business days of the third call can be with two current Account Executives. Make your final decision within 48 hours and notify the candidate. In my experience at least 70% of the time the candidate will accept the first great offer they receive. If you can aim to make the hiring process within 10-15 calendar days you will have a big advantage over 90% of your competitors.
