During my recent trip to Machu Picchu, I learned something fascinating about the natural world. In forests, trees are interconnected through thread-like structures of symbiotic fungi called hyphae, which together form an underground network known as a mycorrhizal network. When one tree is under threat or lacking nutrients, others in the network send “help” across this system. This reminded me of the importance of teamwork and communication within an organization, internally. Just as the trees work together to survive and thrive, so too must we collaborate closely with our peers and colleagues to ensure the success of our business just as the mycorrhizal network. From a broader perspective, while Machu Picchu itself is the centre of attention, it’s the surrounding mountains, rivers, and greenery that amplify its magnificence. Imagine visiting Machu Picchu without the breathtaking natural backdrop, rivers, mountain, trees and fresh air, it would be a completely different experience. Similarly, in business, the success of an organization isn’t just about one person or one department but it's about the entire ecosystem, including our valued customers, trusted partners, affiliates, and, of course, our colleagues. These travel experiences have reinforced my belief that strong teamwork, clear communication, and effective collaboration are crucial for any organization’s success. I am deeply grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me, both in the past and in my current role at seca – precision for health .
