This is a fantastic listen for anyone in the Endurance Sports Race/Event Business, but particularly for Race/Event Founders - or any Business Founder for that matter! These races/events often start out, rather small - even ones like GFNY, that have grown massively into a world-wide phenomenon. They are, often at start-up - passion-plays for Founders. There are HUGE risks in the beginning! Like Uli and his wife Lidia Fluhme, many Founders of races/events, leave good high-paying jobs/careers, for the total uncertainty, of the Race/Event Business! Netherlands is practicing the goals of the EU Cycling declaration which asks for inklusive and non discriminatory access to cycling. But still the Netherlands are not spearheading the move to a better legislative framework which would allow to make better products which will allow inklusive pedelecs and pedelecs for senior citizens. Companies like VanRaam and Huka are hindered by the current legal frameworks to make the best products as they would be technically possible.
